Ahhh! Something I just remembered - a sort of callback to a previous episode. When John is asking Ben about who made the decision to move into the Dharma houses. In S03E13 (The Man from Tallahassee), John calls out Ben for his hypocrisy "If you had any idea what this place really was....you wouldn't be putting chicken in your refridgerator". Basically saying that he should be relying on the island for provision rather than living in a cushy modern house.
