As for why Graham was at the volcano: At the end of Revolutions of the Daleks we see Graham with Ryan practicing cycling. In their final dialogue Ryan mentions the occurence of trolls in Finland / strange creatures in a quarry in Korea. They then realize that the psychic papers given to them by the Doctor will allow them to go *anywhere*.... Graham even ends their dialogue with "Few more tries. Then we'll go and save the world." From this I always felt that it was implied that Ryan & Graham would continue investigating alien activities on earth (probably something Big Finish would love to produce). For me that's enough exposition to make it seem likely, that Graham would eventually meet the Doctor again in one of their adventures.

I posted this on Youtube since I had issues getting my Patreon to resub until today (sorry). 38:21 since you asked yes David Tennant is the 14th Doctor RTD said it himself. So they way you counted it should be right, Tennant is going in as a whole new Doctor not his past reincarnation. I didn't hate Chibnall's era but I definitely felt like it was missing that charm from the previous eras in NuWho. I tend to cry in almost every episode in the other eras... this one I only cried in 3 episodes. 1-2 tears in those 3 episodes and this episode with your video just made me ugly cry...It was Ian's reveal that did me in. Haven't been teary eyed upon any re-watch except this one and that's when I finally felt the charm that it was missing. IDK maybe this era just felt more serious instead of being self aware of how goofy it is. I enjoyed this episode a lot I got to sing/dance along with The Master, I got to cry with the Tardis crew and see those beautiful cameos from Ian, other past companions & Doctors. I am super excited to continue my Classic watch through now since I got a feel for Ace more & the 7th Doctor. It might not be the best era but I think Jodie did great with what she had and this felt like a nice wrap up for their time on set.
