So, usually I avoid having EVERY character on screen at once, and even then, NEVER with an angle of the yard that would show ALL the trees and grass and bushes at once. That's just an overload that no computer I know of can handle... Way too many textures and polygons (quads)...So I render out the highest detail characters against the house with the same lighting. Then I render the other characters, then the yard. All different images. I take those three into photoshop and cut them out, then merge them together to make one image. Then I run that through AI to fix things like making her shirt look more real, the grass, the curbs, things that don't look real in Daz Studio. I overlay that AI version on top of the other images, and I erased everything from the image I didn't want the AI to change. Basically everything but those few things I mentioned. And that's it. Why'd it take 2 hours? because the render with half of the characters and ALL the plants, took an hour to render. I'm surprised my computer could even do it honestly.

Thats crazy you have to render in layers, that buttocks is looking appetizing, though.

Technically, that last image (4th) isn't the FINAL render. I actually fixed a couple other things, her butt being one of them.

Also, normally I do not have to render in layers like this. Only when there are more than 4 characters or a LOT of landscaping.

Man, people really underestimate what goes into creating these games. Granted, I'm certain most devs probably aren't giving a serious thought about putting in this much effort but those of you that do... salute..
