Don’t know what it is this time but I can’t build the game in Ren’Py. Keeps crashing my PC. Going to take it in tomorrow or Thursday.

I’m running diagnostics tonight. Still trying to build the game. But whatever happens, my PC needs to go to the shop and have some real tests run by professionals. I have a feeling that I need new ram. Hopefully I don’t need another 4090. Either way it’s gonna be expensive.

Does the computer just shut down (black screen) or does it throw a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)? We'll just have to hope that these are just software bugs and not hardware issues...

No I'm 100% is hardware. I get both BSOD's and Black Shut downs. I'm pretty certain it's one stick of faulty ram but testing isn't finding it.

If standard tests aren't finding anything, try running OCCT (Power and Memory stress tests). It’s much more aggressive than standard tools. Also, try disabling XMP/EXPO in BIOS for a day to see if the crashes stop. If it still shuts down to a black screen even with XMP off, your PSU might be struggling with the RTX 4090 power spikes. Good luck!

Thanks, I appreciate it. I don’t think the 4090 or PSU is the main suspect though, because the system can handle long AI generation sessions at full GPU load and I can play heavy modern games for hours without issues. What’s happening feels more like intermittent system instability, so I’m leaning more toward RAM, XMP/EXPO, BIOS, motherboard, or something low-level in Windows. I’m taking it to a repair shop tomorrow and rather than deal with the headache, they can test components on other PC's. I don't have a secondary PC that I can slot my 4090 or DDR5 into. They'll get it.
