The “Fuck It, It’s Already Been Pirated Anyway” Update

Yep. v0.0.55 is now public.

I could pretend there’s some grand strategic reason behind it, but the thing is already floating around the internet wearing a fake mustache, so... fuck it. Enjoy.

Capitalism has limits.

Plus a pile of smaller visual, audio, inventory, interaction, and scene fixes throughout the game.

This update contains a ridiculous amount of under-the-hood work alongside the new scenes. A lot of these systems are being built now so they can keep expanding without me rebuilding the game every time I add new content.

So there it is.

v0.0.55. Public. Free. Already pirated anyway.

The key is upstairs. Check all the highlightable objects. It's easy to find. Any time of day. Bush Trimmers won't be available till WAY later in the game. You can't go in that cave yet. Cheats are NOT usually part of Public Releases, but I did forget to disable them this time, so they are in this release. And when you're in navigation mode, you'll see the CHEAT menu at the top right of your screen.

Work work work work work. This is all I do brother. I live and breath this game. I see other devs screwing over their Patreons and it just makes me want to do better. I hate marketing, it feels slimy, so I'd rather people like my game so much that word of mouth markets for me. :)

There is a bug preventing you from using the rope on Day 3, I'm fixing it now and will have the fixed version up within 2 hours.

I removed them. Public build isn’t supposed to have them. I had them added earlier but it was a mistake I just left in. But since I had to go fix bugs and reupload, I turned them back off. Patreon build will release later tonight with a couple more tiny ui fixes and that will have the cheat menu.

Are you playing on an old save where you perhaps bugged him out by resting/sleeping/working after Maggie told you to take the day off? A few releases ago, you could bug the game out that way. If you saved it like that, and are playing on that old save, it will still be broken.

Are you overwriting the files, or deleting the old game and adding the new? And yes, it does matter. If you saved a bugged save, it will still be bugged regardless of which version you're playing. You will need to go to a save BEFORE Maggie told you to take the day off.

When you have to find chance, you find him in the afternoon on the Eastern Trail. The entrance to the woods.

It's possible you bugged the game out... You should have first gone to Carter in the Backyard. That would lead you to working with Tom for a minute. After that you walk to the trail and it will start the interaction with Chance... If that didn't happen, you'll need to go back to a save from before Maggie told you to take the day off. It's possible you somehow bugged the game. I don't know. I have a lot of safeguards in place to prevent you from bugging out that quest, but there's a chance you did something I couldn't foresee.

I’d really like some kind of hint as to whether I’ve unlocked all the possibilities or not. Otherwise, you just go around in circles, unsure if there’s anything left to find. For instance, there’s a screenshot on the site showing Annika sleeping with Tom, but I just can’t seem to trigger that scene—or the one where Annika is hugging Lilly, for that matter.

Those are from the intro cinematic, and more mid to late game. Those two scenes are not in the game yet. When you reach the end of content disclaimer. That's your hint that you've done everything. As for a hint whether you've DONE everything, there's just too much that you could do, and most of it is inconsequential, so I'm not going to add it to a journal. The journal takes you through the main story. Anything else, is extra.

You have probably passed the "End of Content" disclaimer. Which is the end of the game. Anything beyond that will have bugs, and won't be troubleshooted.
