James Scott

New to being a cult leader been on these guys for a min on yt hope delivered just as well here❤️

God's Child

Speaking of making them into Merchandise - I would definitely buy the Coasters and the beautiful packaging of the bottle (EASILY) - BUT without the bottle of spirit, as I don't drink spirits but that gorgeous packaging can be put on display as a decorative item.

Yan

Ngl I was hoping for more outta studio content this week but this was so cool and wholesome to watch too.. Loved it Hope you guys remain this humble always.

God's Child

If the word was "Shakara" - which most likely it was - then it was not said in a mean spirited way. Shame James felt down about the teasing😢 - the boys should have explained what they meant - because otherwise the person who lacks understanding - who sees people giggling, chuckling and laughing - when you hear the word "Shakara Oloje!" - will naturally think the worst - as James clearly thought and hence he felt down and miserable! Whereas if he knew the meaning of the word - KNOWING James and his sense of humour - he would have had a come back! (Which a Naija guy would have done IMMEDIATELY - He would have fired back!! Jokingly of course!🤣) And the boys would have all been laughing together! Because James is very observant! So his Come back/Retort about one or all of them - would have been funny. 🤣Again not in a mean spirited way! When the word "Shakara" is used - it is said in a teasing, but loving manner. Hence Fela's lyrics are funny when you listen to him sing "Shakara" - and when we heard the word back in the 1970s when he sang it - the word took off like wild fire🔥. Especially for those of us who were in Secondary School! Any small thing - we would respond with - "Shakara!" or "Shakara Oloje!"🤣 Because almost daily we meet people doing "Shakara!". "Too Cool for School" as Tobi aptly described it! 👍 I was shocked when I heard a Gospel song recently and the word "Shakara was used!. Wow!🤭 When Fela introduced "Shakara" to us in his song, he gave examples of a man and woman displaying "Shakara!" For the man he described a guy who said to his fellow man - "Don't mess with me! I will beat you up into a pulp that when people see you, they will think you have been in an accident. Don't let me take my shirt off!" Fela then says: "Shakara!" (Fela then explains - It's a BIG LIE! The man cannot fight! It's all "Shakara!"🤣🤣 - In other words - The man is just blowing hot air!! But Fela's interpretation is hilarious!🤣) Implying the man would chicken out and most likely do a runner🏃‍♂️, before you see him take that shirt off. LOL! The lyrics are so funny, especially when he describes the man being unable to do a thing - All talk and no Show!! Sorry - I'm not explaining it well! In the case of the woman Fela described in his song, you can CLEARLY see she fancies a man😍, so when he now tries to chat her up - she suddenly puts on an act as though she would NEVER be seen dead with him! She cannot stand him, yet everyone can see she is clearly lying. OMG! etc Again - Fela calls that situation "Shakara!" - I guess because she is acting too cool for the chap when in fact through her behaviour, the whole world can see she fancies the pants off him! And "Wants to Do!" LOL! It is funny😂. Fela, was not describing a 'Me too movement!' situation - before people get upset and say - it is not funny. You need to listen to the lyrics. Fela speaks of a consenting female adult - but since she has "Shakaraed" - the man leaves her alone, does not bother even trying to chat her up any more. Even though on her part it was all - "Shakara!" - because she actually fancies him and would like him to chat her up. So if the boys were saying James was doing - TOO MUCH! Then they were teasing him and saying - "Shakara" - In other words they could see through all that braggadocio - becayse he probably like the girl - But was being "too cool" - acting as though she was not fit to even look in his direction - LOL! "Shakara!"🤗 If James understood the word "Shakara" he would have got the joke and laughed along and knowing him - would have been able to join in and tease them back! - Possibly saying - "You are teasing me, but you are the one doing the "Shakara" - because I saw the way one of you looked at her when she came in! Or something like that! The banter would have carried on. Because we KNOW James has FUNNY Come backs! 🤣😂 Sadly because he lacked understanding - their laughter came over as mean - hence he felt down in the dumps. May be Fuhad, needs to explain and interpret in the moment - when they speak vernacular - so James can join in and not feel left out! If they were really being nasty - They would not use the word "Shakara!" Because "Shakara evokes laughter and allows for the the other person to also answer back. Sadly the whole thing fell flat! I wish James understood the Banter because his response to the guys would have been equally FUNNY! My heart goes out to James😕 because what could have been a funny banter between the boys turned out to be a sore spot!😢 LEARNING CURVE: Either not speak Vernacular in the presence of someone/ company of others who lack understanding, or if you do choose to speak another language etc - interpret it, so they do not think the worst! ❤️ Going forward - I hope I hear James use the word - "Shakara" one day on the Pod 🤗- and knowing James with his sense of humour - he'll slip it in and use it in the FUNNIEST way - and those who understand will crack up! But hope James explains it to the listeners afterwards. Knowing James, even if he doesn't interpret the word people will laugh because of the context in which he will release that word - because they will KNOW he just said something funny. After all he now says "Nyansh" a Nigerian slang. LOL! And people got it without him explaining. I think "Shakara" will catch on - with None Nigerians - especially if James uses it. There are times for example we have heard Fuhad say - he will do so so and so. James gives him a side eye and goes: 'No you won't' And Fuhad laughs and says 'Actually, You are right! I won't" James could just say to Fuhad - "No you wont! That one na SHAKARA!" 🤣 LOL! https://youtu.be/vvYxd35xFx8?t=3

Fabulous to wake up and see a new upload. I love you guys! Appreciation day. I appreciate the effort you guys put in and all the hard work. I've had a tough few years trying to rebuild my life with my kids after a turbulent and abusive end to an 8 year relationship. Homeless with my kids for 8 months trying to stay safe and I'd always come back to watch you guys to try and keep life light-hearted. Much love from my family to yours. 🥰

IsleChile

Love a full circle story. Further confirmation that what is for you, is for you. Things don’t always make sense or mean something, until they do.

Maris

Toby on the phone and I’m giggling like a kid who got a puppy for christmas😂

Feel no paint studios

I was in the crowd at the mobos, and was surprised to see you guys in the category, but as soon as your names came up I knew you'd won. Similar to what fuhad was saying, I saw them panning to you on screen. Also, lil simz and baron messia were a highlight, and the mash up of 90s tunes went haard

Nikki

Great episode!! I'm gonna hope that the "Daddies Goodie Bag" I made and gave y'all in North Carolina actually made it home with y'all and that it will show up in a future video one day 🥰

Lindsay

Lovely lovely wholesome episode! I was at that LA show…front row and it was BLOODY hot! Flew down from Portland, OR to see the daddies in my old stomping grounds. I second the notion to revamp that theater!

Amber P

TOBIII!!! ❤️❤️ Not Rem making sure they know my name 😍 (hey bestie!) it was a task to get those coasters to the UK from Canada. I’m so happy they love them. It was so nice to see all the other gifts they’ve received.
