Wisdom teeth removal aint bad. I didnt use the pain meds and got into a fight day one home and then 3 days after surgery. Mouth was swollen and i couldnt open it much. Other than that it was calm but the fights gave me dry socket.

Hya I'm a cardiac nurse. James, they cannot do both together because when doing work in the mouth, bacteria moves and if you are having heart surgery or have cardiac issues the mix of the two can cause bacteria to enter your heart, causing infective endocarditis. So no. You would need two separate surgeries with a few months in-between.

As a dental nurse normally hygiene appointments aren’t done on kids unless it’s requested haha You had a deep perio clean which gets under the gum which means you had periodontitis keep doing the flossing and interdental cleans you don’t need a deep clean again lol 😂

You need to be "awake" in twilight so they can monitor you for symptoms of stroke etc. They can give simple commands that let them know how you're doing. Had something similar a few years ago...they continued going til they reached my brain.

Two completely different procedures that will require different timelines, levels/types of anesthesia, sterile environment, and medical staffing, and recovery. If you're in a accident, all your physical ailments will absolutely not be fixed at one time. Multiple procedures would be necessary, typically. They're not going to fix everything 100% on day one. Also, your oral health is very much tied to cardiovascular health so, there's that. Leave it if you want to but, its not recommended IJS Just fix it. Do it for your family.

My wisdom teeth grew inwards like James'. Got them out, cried the whole way home. About a week later, I woke up with a golf ball sized lump on my lower jaw. Turns out they stitched me up with something inside 🙃 had to cut it open while I was awake this time. Then pack it with medicine. Almost worse than the extraction! Then when the medicine starts being pushed out by the healing, its like a mushy green bean just stuck in your mouth 😂🙄 it was quite the traumatizing experience lol

James, i work in cardiology in the US and for your condition it would be best to go to a cardiologist to inquire about the surgery because it’s not as bad as it sounds. we do it routinely in texas

If your wisdom teeth are under the gum, they’ll put you to sleep cause they cut them out. But if you wait (like I did) your teeth will break the gum and they’ll keep you awake and just grab some pliers and pop them out. You get only 2-3 stitches but you’re way less swollen and the pain fades away the next day. You only have to be careful about eating soft foods and drinking. I got one side done at a time so I could chew on the opposite side and limit debris getting in the socket.

i’m sure your heart beats slower when you’re asleep vs you’re awake . they want to make sure the fixed heart functions effectively at regular pace so it can handle being slower (and faster considering some intake caffeine which accelerates it) . i’m just a phlebotomist now , but studying to be an OR surgical technician :/

James, the reason they don't put you under for that type of surgery is that anesthesia lowers your blood pressure and your heart rate, making it risky for the patient, especially one with irregular heart rates. Having two surgeries in one session is sketchy cause it means you have to be under longer increasing your risk.
