Girls just want to spend time with guys they like too and “idk I just want to spend time with you” is valid every once in a while. Hell I’ve been on dates (after being together a while) just running errands and helping someone put together ikea furniture. But if the person you’re dating doesn’t ever put any thought into planning anything, it can feel like he doesn’t really like you or care if you’re around. “Idk, you pick” gives “you can come if you want” energy. You can always give options if you don’t know her well enough to determine what kind of dates she likes: “I was thinking we could go to this arcade I love or if you prefer something more chill, we can do dinner and that new movie you mentioned.” It shows you’ve thought about it, but you are considerate of her interests too. Assuming it’s not the first date, you’ve hopefully talked to each other a bit about things you like to do and if you haven’t, then you need to ask more questions. “Do you like arcades? I’d love to take you to my favorite one on our next date if you’d be up for it.” If being direct isn’t easy, then you have to be a good listener/observant. “Oh you said you loved this museum. I saw they have a new exhibit and thought we could check it out together. I’ve never been, so you can show me your favorite exhibits there.” “You said you love cooking/trying new dishes, I found this cool cooking class we can try together.” Getting comfortable knowing someone can be hard, but I hope this helps someone! For the record, fellas: if you’re having conflict with “I don’t wanna suggest something that she doesn’t want to do”, it’s best to get to know what she likes in conversations prior to planning the date. That way, you’re more likely to be successful with the “hey, you free on — at —? If so, I’ll make reservations @ —.” Done. If she says “ehh, I don’t actually like that”, you can revert to the conversations and THEN open it for suggestions while emphasizing that you want to spend time with her being the most important thing.

When planning a date, I think where men mess up at is, they don’t ask questions along the lines of, “ what’s your favorite food?” “What are your hobbies/what do you in your free time or to pass the time?” THAT would help with planning the date because you’ll know what she likes & can work around that. BUT.. if you only want her in a sexual way & don’t want anything more than that, I can understand not asking important questions because most likely, you don’t give AF. Hope that kind of helps 😌

As far as planning dates, best bet is early getting to know the girl ask what they like to do or what their favorite type of food is then plan it from there.
