Hi patrons. Just looking for input from you all on this patreon thing. We’re curious which features/perks are worth it, which are not and which if any you think we should consider adding.

After minutes of googling we found these type of features were suggested. But we’re open to whatever.

-Q and A episodes for patrons only

-A blog thing. We could expand on rants or topics we didn’t cover fully. Or realized we’re wrong. Could also be where we talk about recommend books we haven’t do episodes on but think you might be interested ib

-A way for you to contribute questions or stuff we should address on future episodes

-Archive of all episodes

All of the above! I personally would love it if you guys talked more about yourselves for a few minutes at the start and why you selected the book; so a blog could be great for that I guess. Maybe an extra ling top 10 special or something at the end of every year that reflects on your year of reading! Love you guys, keep being you

An archive of past episodes would be pretty cool. Maybe do a once-in-a-quarter top 5 list episode? Like, “most racist books we have had to read” or something silly like that. Also, more stickers please!

Stickers definitely can do. Will send out this week. Unfortunately, design isnt really our thing otherwise it would be cool to have different ones we could use.

Thanks! Archive is definitely in the works. We just need to figure out the best way to do it. Having 320 episodes on patreon all of a sudden may make it difficult to navigate. The Blog thing comes up again and again when you look for stuff to do to promote your podcast. I agree, probably more work than it’s worth at this point. Whenever we’ve done live episodes we use the last part for q and a as well as recommendations. But a separate q and a thing would not be hard at all to do. My only concern is collecting enough questions to make it interesting. But we can give it a shot. Thanks!

Year end or wheneverly reflection episodes are not hard to do. We usually don’t have very elaborate reasons for picking a book. To be honest the reason usually is “people might want to listen to this”.
