“Devil Town” (title based on the CaveTown song) is a concept I had rolling around in my head a while ago:

A young queer couple get chased out of town into the woods. The angry mob sets the woods into flames. The couple think they’re done for.

They’re on the run from home, from society. But as they run, they get cold and struggle to stand… eventually crawling. Thinking “I’d give up anything to get away from it all”.

And just like that, they’re warm again. Before realizing it, they’ve both shred away their human self and find themselves in Devil Town; a place you find when you need to get away from it all.

There’s a lot I’d love to do with this concept at some point. Basically a community of animals running a trauma queer society with huge themes of intersectionality. A place that accepts those who the intolerant world sees as “devils”. Let me know if y’all would love to see it fleshed out!
