  • The MC and group are ambushed with the intention of being robbed. 2

Coinciding with the group naming poll, I'm building the first encounter with the bandit/raider group. This will occur as the MC and group are leaving the research station.

How should that interaction go?

Ohh, I like the idea of a group scouting us out -- especially so soon after the Silverthornes just did the same thing, so we're already on edge! It'd probably make a few members uneasy (many of my PCs included) at the realization that this other group was scoping us out, and we only found out by mere coincidence, since we were coming back from a mission at the right moment to find them. ...plus, Reilly is with the PC when that would happen and I'm a sucker for reading him get so easily pissed 😂 I have too much fun when some of my PCs antagonize and/or rile him up, like an attack dog. I've had tons of my PCs directing him to grab other people and restrain them, or letting him go for a kill rather than do it myself.

Robbery all the way, and please make it so our leadership style (military squad, democracy, community etc) automatically affects our default readiness and travel. (If we get ambushed we are alert and ready if military style leadership, community style relaxed and unaware, etc. and again, scavengable bodies!
