I love how he reminds Tommy of how evil they are. The audience needs to be reminded that Tommy is not a good man, he's just the protagonist we are centering the story around. He never gave a shit about all the sons that died because of his actions, he always waves away everything with "we'll look after their families" and then utterly forgets about them. He only cares now because it happened to him.

Hughes was slimy gross from the start. Like Campbell was absolutely despicable but a man of the cloth being so fucking gross. Also, while Campbell had minions; Hughes is part of much larger broader network of power hungry assholes. So while both could catch these hands, I’d shank Hughes before the end of the fight….

1000% Like the reminder that Tommy crosses the line all the time and implying that Solomons did anything different than what Tommy would do in the same position was severe reality check.
