Pretty good list!

rrrebo

Alien, definitely! Groundbreaking sci-fi horror! Then Hocus Pocus for fun, and Nightmare on Elm Street is a classic.

Diegesis

Sorry about the multiple times trying to post the poll I kept forgetting to use the multiple choice option 😭

James Long

Alien and The Conjuring for sure.

Owen

Thanks maple!

Daniel Bjork

A ton of must sees on this list, just watch all of them. Except Hocus Pocus.

T.wiley

And E.T lol

Brian West

I've seen all of these except "Get out". The only ones that actually scared me were "the ring" and "hocus pocus" 😅

Liesmith

We need to get her to watch It Follows; it's a fantastic feel-good movie.

LazyBoy Stays Up Late Watchin Video Tapes

I'm confused 😂 If Maple wants to add just 'A few', I suppose the franchise picks are out of the question as , stand-alone films are probably the best choice.

Diegesis

I have time to watch multiple 😇

Woz Lee

Who do I need to blow to get Shaun of the Dead on one of these?

EB Farnum Fanclub

Some random recs if anyone’s looking to check out some horror this October: Longlegs (would love to see this on the channel tbh) Hellraiser (probably my favorite horror movie ever) Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original) Dead Ringers Candyman (original) Nightbreed Suspiria (original, lol) Sunshine (2007 - underrated sci-fi/horror, great cast feat. Cilian Murphy)

Joe Lopresti

Gotta follow Get Out with Us/Nope

Michael Buhl

If we're including sci-fi horror, then Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) would be a good one for this poll.

Rick Le Mon

I am absolutely not a horror fan, but Nope was so good

Nikki Sylvester

I love that Alien & Get Out are n ck and neck. They are both amazing movies. ☺️💖

dylan s

28 Days Later is one of my favourite movies on the list. It would be great to see you react to it

MGCR

As long as Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th and Hocus Pocus don't win, I'm happy.

MGCR

Hocus Pocus scared you?? Really??

Brian West

I wish I was lying. I can watch it it's all good now but as a kid yea those youth soul suckers were terrifying and I'm pretty sure when I watched it there was a 20-40 frequency wave attached to it. Love the movie. But it's evil

NovaVortex

These choices are all good. I'm a fan of sci-fi so alien is easily my top favorite. I can hardly believe it's currently winning the poll at the moment but lfg! 🥳

Steve Johnson

Alien is such a classic, but also 28 days later is maybe the best zombie flick ever made, especially as you have Peaky Blinders on the go it would be a good shout

Rob Frawley 2nd

That's a great list! You should check out Oculus (2013) sometime. It's a film by Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, etc.) starring the wonderful Karen Gillan (Amy Pond in Doctor Who, Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy, Ruby in the Jumanji reboots, etc.).

OldManGrim

You mention sprinkling in a horror comedy or two; you must MUST watch Tucker and Dale vs. Evil absolutely hilarious and gruesome all at once, Alan Tudyk giving us his best redneck ever lol

Andrew Clifton

Dam no love for Friday the 13th lol. That's my favorite horror Franchise.

Daymee

As fun as Hocus Pocus is (and it would make for an enjoyable reaction video) I'm pleased to see what I'd choose 1st and 2nd both in the lead for once, yaay! If the voting holds, I'll be happy to watch either one.

Victoria Brewer

I know it's not on here so maybe this is something you watch with Ariana at a later date (if you want), but Gerald's Game on Netflix. It's a Mike Flanagan adaptation of the Stephen King novel. It's not super scary per se--it's more of a thriller I'd say--but there's definitely a few bits that really messed with me. Also a few actors from Hill House are in it: Carla Gugino (Olivia) actually plays the main character, and then Kate Siegel (adult Theo) and Henry Thomas (young Hugh) are in it as well!

Pale Ale

Perhaps if they watched Ju-On it I would pick it 100% haha

Lomino

That isbpretty good too

Adam Vialpando

Not sure if it's quite a perfect fit for this but Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter is an underrated musical slasher that more people need to see. It's the one movie adaptation that Stephen Sondheim wholeheartedly approved of.

dylan s

I would love for them to watch Sweeney Todd
