Sorry for the ASMR if you're not into that- Maple was very sick still from a COVID like bug and yes this will effect a few reactions as she did her best to show up and film still!

I love the fact that they completely trolled the fans who wanted a Ted/Rebecca romance with that opening scene.

Matrix? I thought it was Darth Vader walk :P

how is it that I find out they are renewing Ted Lasso!! Oh wow I'm excited. I wonder if most of the characters return or if it will be a slightly different story with a new cast. Hopefully we can some resolution on some different storylines that we didn't close on

Jeff K.

Also: Isaac kicking it so hard that it went through the net seems incredibly unrealistic, but I've actually seen it happen in real life (once). So it's definitely doable.

Jeff K.

Emperor Palpatine, specifically - they were very intentional about making him look like a Sith lord this season. Like, even his office looks like Palpatine's throne room on the Death Star.

So many mouth sounds on the mic…

To be clear, it's not fully confirmed that season four is happening. And if it does, it's highly likely that Sudeikis would barely be involved, at least on-screen, based on everything I've read. Obviously, that can change. I believe Phil Dunster (Jamie) has said he probably won't be involved, either, so it could wind up looking like a very different show (and a lot of the speculation is that, if it happens, it'll be about an AFC Richmond women's team, which is part of why they introduced the idea in this episode).

Lol at the irony of Maple complaining about Jacob's annoying commentary. Which one is the kettle?

Yeah, the understanding at the time was Sudeikis had a 3 year plan at the outset of the show - never imagining that the show was going to be part of the zeitgeist in the way it did. So, when this aired, this was a series finale. (he was also going through a divorce and many surmised, that he - like Ted - needed to get back to the states full time for his kids). Many questioned if the last montage was a dream Ted had during the flight & the show's creators said all those events did happen and it was not a dream. So, with the recent news that a 4th season is being worked on is fantastic news & something many of us kind-of gave up on. So happy you enjoyed Ted Lasso. It was really fun and entertaining to join you on this journey with Ted and AFC Richmond. As always, really enjoy your reactions. Hopefully, the Ted Lasso spot on the schedule will be something fun as well. Until Season 4 comes...Go Richmond!!!

It is not officially confirmed that another season is happening, though there has been something going around that production starts in January. What it really is is that Apple approached Brett, Hannah, and Jeremy for options for new contracts. News outlets got wind of that and ran with it, acting as if it has been confirmed. However, there has not been an official statement from Apple or Jason and Brendan. While I do think a 4th season or spin-off is coming, I think it is unlikely that it will be so soon. For one, they have to write the scripts. As someone else said, Phil is unlikely to return because of his busy schedule, and Hannah has a busy schedule too. But maybe they'll be able to work around hers considering how well-loved she and Rebecca are. Personally, I thought how the show ended was perfect. I like where they left everyone, and I think it was wrapped up nicely. I'd rather the next installment be a spin-off seeing as Jason said that he always imagined that partical story about Ted to be three seasons. I just wish that if/when this does happen, they'd wait a little longer. But I'm sure Apple was eager to keep riding on the success train, especially now that it seems to be picking up more traction. It's also their most popular show they've produced so I understand it would be silly not to continue with it. I just feel a lot of times shows like these keep going when they shouldn't and they end up not being as good. There were already problems with this season. It worries me what more of this would be like unless it is an entirely new story--perhaps following Rebecca launching the women's team. I guess we will see in the new year. I've really enjoyed watching your reactions to this show. Usually, after a reactor finishes it, I don't continue watching their reactions, but I like both of you so much, I'm going to start watching some of your other ones. Thanks for this, and I hope Maple, Ariana, and the entire Diegesis team have a wonderful holiday season!

1) this comment is completely unnecessary. 2) the mute button exists.

ManuG20dt3

1.) It’s harmless feedback. Necessary and often wanted/expected. Something I’d think they’d welcome to improve going forward 2.) Mute does exist and they should have used it more. There were times with no commentary and just those hard to listen to sounds. I subscribed for full reaction, why would I mute not knowing whether or not they’re commenting on something. What kind of sense does that make

If you can break the internet, you can break a soccer net.

Jason dated Keeley Hazel during his time filming. And Jason & Olivia weren’t married, they were engaged 😊

Christina Bobina

Sure, technical feedback is probably appreciated.. but perhaps in a much nicer way.

Diegesis

Maple had bronchitis when this was filmed and had cough drops! I think she clarified this in multiple videos and you can see her use the cough drops multiple times! Having a lung infection is not a standard thing on the channel hope this helps

With all the construction going on at DIA, they’re really leaning into trolling the conspiracy folks. Asking if they’re building more shops and restaurants or redoing the reptilian lair. Those original murals were nuts.

I think Nate explained why he did what he did in season 2 when he went off on Ted. And I’m sure Ted, like many of us, understood where that was coming from and he knew it wasn’t about him. So, Nate didn’t have to explain .. I don’t think Nate really understood why completely. And you’ll want to go back to the scene in the airport, when Ted is at the news stand and read some of the other headlines. :) And this episode WAS the final finale. They had no intention of doing another season. They wrote the story as three seasons and never planned for a fourth. Many fans are unsure .. it ended so well, everything wrapped up, and worry the next season will not be the same. Ted is back with his son, where he is living who knows, but I’m sure it’s not with his wife. I don’t think either of them would go back to that. They’ve both come a long way, especially Ted. I am looking forward to another season .. but I am slightly worried, but I think if everyone is involved, it will work. However, I’ve read that Phil Dunster has scheduling issues and won’t be in the cast. That was a few weeks ago, so not sure if that’s changed or not. No Jamie Tartt would suck.

Christina Bobina

Haha! Same. I had friends who were convinced they should be together. They never really understood that this show is different from any other show. It doesn’t do what the other shows do, like showing women always pitted against each other. Or how men and women can’t really be friends, and just friends, because they always have sexual chemistry. I never once thought they’d be together. But even I was a little confused at first. Because I saw Ted saunter into the kitchen, I got angry .. I was so mad that they caved and did something stupid. It would have ruined it for me. Then 3 seconds later I remembered what show I was watching and knew they were fu€#ing with the “shippers”. Loved it.

IMDb isn't the most reliable. It's like Wikipedia, where basically anyone can go in there and edit stuff.

Jeff K.

Agreed: thank you. I genuinely don't know how you guys had the patience to put up with that person, who clearly has some sort of mysterious, bitter vendetta. What a bizarre way to choose to spend your money...

Christophe

Yeah and they went way too hard with that. Like the whole point of Rupert is that he's supposed to be outwardly charming and not a lot of people know how much of an asshole he is. He became way too obviously slimy and creepy in this season. I don't have a problem with that last scene, that was obviously him being unable to keep up the facade and people seeing him for who he really is. But just in general the way he acted this season, I don't think anyone could actually find that charming. Compare the way he talked to people this season with how he acted at that charity dinner in season 1 where actually seemed outwardly fun and charming.. Completely different people.

Christophe

I agree that it's good that they didn't go there and I also never actually thought they would and were always just trolling but I thought it was a bit of a dumb gag for all that. That scene contributed nothing to the episode and was just there as a "haha, we got you there". Wow, great.

Christophe

Seeing how much I disliked a lot of the creative choices in season 3, if there is a season 4, I would really like season 4 to be substantially different. Not just with which characters are involved but just changing a bunch of the creative team and the writer's room. Make it more of a spin-off than an actual continuation. If not, three seasons will probably have to do it for me, I can't put myself through something like this again.

Joe Blankenship

I was pretty satisfied with the ending. Ted needed to go home to be with his boy. If they're doing a season 4, I doubt they'd have Ted going back to England. Given how successful he was with Richmond, he's probably gotten a lot of job offers. And then Rebecca, Beard, and Roy and them will guest star in a few episodes while he's coaching a new team.

PurportedGrey

They are for sure doing S4 and all of the cast besides Jaime's actor have been confirmed to be coming back (he will probably be back, they just haven't confirmed he'll be free to film like the rest). But i have no idea how they will justify him coming back or everyone getting back together in some way.

PO

I think it was one of the better tv show endings. Couldn't think of a better one myself. All of the characters had great conclusions. Also for Nate, he had a 60 page apology letter which I'm sure he went over the thins you mentioned after the ending. Also, all of the things of why Nate did what he did was implied pretty obviously so I don't see the need for him to reiterate what we've been watching for 5 episodes. Besides, Ted said "It's okay, I know" and Nate at least wanted to say "I'm sorry" instead of the entire monologue.
