Xavier Chandler

Just got off work fine watch this to end the day... not to shabby 👌🏾

Bryan Erickson

You done watching What We Do In The Shadows? What’s the deal there?

Ray H

An unintentional Game of Thrones reference in this movie.

Xavier Chandler

I'm of the Roshi mindset when it comes to the battle of the bathroom. Harry was right to pack that man Draco up, especially because Draco upped his shit 1st + the train incident

Xavier Chandler

The dude behind Fenrir in the final tower scene was in GOT i just realized

Chris Thompson

I wish they were done watching it, but nope they held the Severance live event in its place this week. Normal business will resume next week I imagine.

I’m not sure the ladies have realized that Marla Singer (Fight Club) is Bellatrix.

Athasin

The way you can clean/repair a room with a swish of your wand is the reason I wanted to be part of the wizarding world.

Bryan Erickson

Thank you! Not sure why it wasn’t showing up in my feed.

MarisoL

Can Harry stop losing everyone around him? 😭

Ludus Aurea

They first showed the pensieve in goblet.

Agreed with Arianna half blod prince is the best Harry Potter book. But Deathly Hollows part 2 is the best movie

I do like this movie, mostly because it's based on my favourite book of the series, but it does have its issues. I feel like the whole Half-Blood Prince of it all came way short. At the end, when Snape has that big reveal "I'm the Half-Blood Prince", it feels a bit anti-climactic, like "oh, right, I guess that reveals that", but it doesn't have much emotional weight to it because we didn't spend much time with the Potions book. I guess it's hard to translate to screen the way it's done in the novel, all those hours that Harry spends with this book, the way he feels like he's getting to know the Half-Blood Prince, and that he's starting to feel like a friend, Harry even becomes convinced that it might be his own father, so the reveal that it's Snape at the end feels like a huge betrayal. Plus, Hermione spends a lot of time trying to figure out who the Prince could be, so it feels like much more of an important mystery. And if I remember correctly, there's even a sort of red herring for why it couldn't be Snape (something about the date in the book), because otherwise he's just such an obvious candidate for the identity of the Prince. Here it's just like "oh right, makes sense, Snape is good at Potions, and kind of evil, so yeah, cool". Also, Ginny... ah, poor Ginny. I think the romance arc between Harry and Ginny is rushed in the books as well, like we spend three books with Cho, and then just in the matter of one book, it's like, forget about Cho, Harry's totally into Ginny now. But the movies still didn't have to do her dirty like that xD she's so bland and even robotic here. It's easy to feel like Bonnie Wright didn't give the most inspiring performance, and sure, maybe she could have done more, but with the lines they gave her, it would be hard for any actor to come off natural ^^' Ginny's sort of a stereotypical pickme "not-like-the-other-girls" cool girl in the books, so maybe they avoided some kind of trap by just making her so boring but somehow I don't think that was the intention.

its good timing that you meet Slughorn when that actor will be in GoT soon. And yeah its been a hot minute since they did Quidditch. There could have been a whole thing in the last book where they play quidditch and Harry and the twins fight Malfoy then Deloris bans them from quidditch. that woulda been a fun scene.

I guess Malfoy does kind of look like a mix between XQC and PewDiePie. that might be the streamer vibe lol

I can’t watch this right now I gotta travel for work, but I’m so excited to get done on Wednesday night and come back home and watch this!! I love that Ariana is there to kind of help you understand things about the story and context and I wanted to say this when she was telling you about prisoner of Azkaban, but I wanted to wait. I get why some people have favorites among the first five movies, but in my humble opinion, the last three are easily the best movies of the series. With all due respect to the previous movies with these last three the story is has been so developed and focused and the world and the characters have so much depth in the last 3 they are on a tier on their own. And while I don’t think HBP is better than the next two I do think it sets the new tone. I think Alan Rickman just decide to go to another level of performance in these three and almost everyone follows suit. There’s definitely some good performances before this movie but it’s like everybody is great from this movie on. Thanks for the content!

The only other role I knew Ron Weasley from is Sick Note.
