Better Call Saul 4x6-7 | Watch Along

Matt Daniells

You might have got your schedule wrong, but at least you don't have to wait 6 weeks after that episode like we did!

Tim Martin

When Maple said “…roach” I fell out my damn chair 😂. The roach was so more important than you may have realized. When Kim was visiting Lalo in jail, Lalo said Jimmy was like la cucaracha (the cockroach) a born survivor. Lalo had all but forgotten about Jimmy and Kim until that damn roach 🪳

Tim Martin

I believe this was the best reaction to the Howard death scene I have seen…and I’ve seen quite a few 🫤 The fact that you all weren’t expecting Lalo to show up made it even better. Some people just guess, and a few picked up on an important clue…

Oscar H

when Jimmy looked at the candle flicker and then he saw Lalo *chef kiss* for the cinematography

Kara

This is SO funny, I thought Chad scheduled this intentionally... I did think "that's kind of a bad place to split the season lol", absolute chaos. Girls - they made us wait SIX WEEKS after this to find out what happens!!! Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould said there would be NO CLIFFHANGER, the liars absolutely cooked us all!!!!! hahahaha Great reactions! When Maple said the cockroach thing I was like "they're gonna geek when the cockroach shows up in a few seconds" and you did yippee. Everything that happened before now had to happen for us to get here, all the nasty kim and jimmy scam stuff, all the tension-building "where the fuck is Lalo?" stuff earlier in the season. What a build up, just such good storystelling, almost noone does it better than the BB/BCS crew.

Kara

Vince and Peter said in interviews there would be no mid-season cliffhanger.... they fuckin got our asses

Kara

actual terror radiating off them both. howard even picks up on it and realises how fucked he is before the end, it's that bad

Kara

maple predicting the cockroach helped here i think cuz they were geeking about it (as was I) and didn't think about it more in the moment

Chris Thompson

Hell yeah, Buckies for life, yo! That place is a staple whenever I visit my brother. I’d love to see you guys doing a vlog about pretty much anything, Buckies or not. Would be very cool to see you away from the studio.

Chris Bruneau

the last 10 minutes of todays' reaction is why I LOVE this channel, that was an AMAZING reaction to what many critics have said is the "Ozymandius" of Better Call Saul. Chef's kiss, girls!!!!

Howard went out like Chuck: being correct about Jimmy's schemes but sounding completely crazy to everyone else.

Ray H

Howard’s late realization he was screwed… poor guy. I never particularly liked him personality-wise but he didn’t deserve to go out like that. Lalo is one of my favorite antagonists of all time and def. the best Salamanca, although Tuco is interesting in a crazy way. The twins are the least interesting but most efficient and Hector is the worst person in the show.

Joshua Luzania

the most monumental moments in the BB universe, a roach in the sewer and Hank havin to take a shit at Walts.

Pyt

That was my fight thought, but then I looked at how many episodes were in this season, and its an odd number, so it makes sense that they would want to end one a double episode week.

ZitherManifesto

Starting to think Arianna and I maybe the same person, just different genders lol. Another thing she said I also did was use the TNMT as a personality test. Or its just us Millennials in our late 30's all did the something. Also Michelangelo is the best.

Joe Blankenship

Yep... Kim really should've gone to Santa Fe. Oh, and that guy that was pretending to be the judge, that's John Ennis, another guy from Odenkirk's Mr. Show days.

FirekeeperTC

Howard died as he lived getting prank'd

david p

GOAT reaction to that scene 😂😂🔥… best ep of the series imo

david p

Also, just realizing now you did GOT Winds of Winter ep the same day as this one… don’t think you’ll have a better reaction day than that.

Kliphord

Coming close to the end of the season but these episodes have been quite something and also RIP.

CarlosC

i subscribed to the patreon just for this episode reaction and it didnt disappoint 👏

Kara

Howard to Lalo: "One of the most promising young men I've ever known. And this is the life you choose..."

Eric Wall

I think it worked out for the best. I don’t know how you process another episode immediately following this one. I felt dead inside for like 24 hours after this. At least one of those weeks was completely necessary.

Grayson

Lalo described Jimmy as “la cucaracha” which means “the roach.” When Lalo sees the roach in the sewer, he immediately thinks of Jimmy

Imagine having watched that episode when it originally aired in May 2022... and then having to wait another 7 weeks for the next episode in July to get any resolution. AMC split the season in half intentionally so that the first half would be eligible for the 74th Emmys and the second half would be eligible for the 75th Emmys (the eligibility window each season runs from June 1st through May 31st of the following year).

Pabb

Late comment but streets been saying Chuck had this tradition with cans because when they were younger Jimmy used to prank him with fizzy drinks exploding

Have any other fellow paying patrons realized/recognized that those earrings, which Kim's mother was shown as having shoplifted and gifted to her, are the same ones that ol' "Slippin' Kimmy" still frequently wears as an adult? There are at least several — if not many aplenty — scenes during episodes throughout the seasons whereby we get to see grownup Kim inserting them in her ear(s) and/or she can be spotted simply sporting them in general, including during 'Axe and Grind' of course.
