Chad here,And wow, I was a doubter when we started this series. I had concerns it'd just be a cash in from breaking bad's legacy and I then i thought it was too low stakes. Breaking Bad was life or death from the jump and a lot of Better Call Saul was "Will Jimmy get to live his dream of being a lawyer". But now that it's done I think this was one of the finest viewing experiences of all time and this ending was just. Words can't express it so imagine I said something poignant and perfectly encapulsating of Better Call Saul.We loved you Kim N JimmyThough they never had the makings of varsity athletes.

Him doing essentially life in prison given his age is what he deserves. I'm glad the series wrapped up with him owning up to every little thing he did across B.B and BCS. And for him to be caught by an older person, universal justice. Jimmy McGill, one hell of a guy.

to be honest, I'm kinda sad its over--BB and BCS are two of my favorite shows, and I really enjoyed watching them with you both. Just a phenomenal show in terms of its brilliant writing and acting. Chef's Kiss to Vince Gilligan and crew!!!!

It is really sad, both because these shows are over and for now I haven't seen anything close to them but also because the reactions are over, but the description hints that the next destination is Sopranos and I can't wait.

There is so much to love in this episode. This is the longest episode of both BB and BCS. And that bus scene is so interesting to me. In a way it shows that even though he confessed and wants to be known as Jimmy his actions as Saul will never be forgotten, for good or bad. Plus it harkens back to his last appearance in BB. He tells Walt to turn himself in to save his family and he would likely be treated like John Dillinger of the metro prison. And now he himself does what Walt never would have done.

Better Call Saul is a masterpiece and every time I rewatch it I pick up on something new. It's been a joy and a privilege watching through with y'all. What a journey. The central question of Better Call Saul (and the BB universe as a whole) is "Can people change?" and against all odds, right at the end, Saul/Gene/Jimmy/James McGill finally, actually changed. He defied Chuck and everyone else. He nuked his 7 year plea deal just for the chance to make Kim like him slightly more again. The time machine motif is so fantastic. One small thing - when Walt in the flashback is considering his 'regrets', we get a shot with him looking at his watch - the watch Jesse gifted him for his birthday. Jesse is Walt's biggest regret, despite what he says.

Some more random trivia about this episode. This is the only season/series finale in either BB or BCS where nobody dies. BB S1 Tuco beat his guy to death (I know he technically died the next episode but the actual murdering happened in the finale). S2 had the plane crash. S3 was Gale. S4 was Gus, Hector, and Tyrus. And S5 had Lydia and the Nazis. Meanwhile BCS S1 had Marco dying. S2 had Hector's truck driver get clipped. S3 was Chuck obviously. S4 had Werner. And S5 had all the people in Lalo's compound. Even if we include the mid-season finales from both shows we have the prison hits from BB and Howard from BCS

I’d argue that his mind changed a bit when he saw Jesse looking beaten at the Nazi camp. I think he originally went out there to take them all out because he assumed Jesse was working with them, but then he realized what Jesse has been put through. That’s the beauty of these shows though, some things are up for interpretation

Perhaps yeah, that's a valid read. I wouldn't say that's Walt changing as a person though, just him changing his mind in the moment when learning new information. He dies smiling having "gotten away with it" and if he could do it all again - besides Hank dying - I honestly think he would.

Amazing watch, sad it is over. Better Call Saul and Mr. Robot (yeah, I know) are my favourite and, in my honest opinion, the best series I've ever watched. Good from start to finish, leaving you with emptiness that could never be filled.

Additionally, did you see the framing of the courtroom decor, which made it appear as if Kim was a target caught in the crosshairs before the big reveal by Jimmy McGill / Saul Goodman/ Viktor St. Claire / Gene Takavic / Steve (supervisor of delivery truck driver Ricky aka Buddy, friend of Jeff) at the podium?
