Oscar H

Ladies and gentlemen, behold the greatest piece of television in recent history. what an amazing episode, what amazing reaction, what an amazing analysis. Game of thrones (tv), truly a masterpiece. 10/10 Great series finale

Oscar H

I'm not really a big crier but watching this episode for the first time almost brought me to tears. Rarely does tv make me feel the way this show has. I'm still in awe till this day

bstroup

Crying and laughing at the same time = an emotional speedball. Great episode as always.

Elesh

This episode is both amazing and shit in so many ways. First of all the dothraki charge, yeah just go head on be surrounded and drowned by the wave of undead bodies, they should have pulled of LOTR charge. Let the undead attack the spear men and the ride from the sides but okay... There's like 5 different scenes when Brienne, Sam and Jaime should literally die because they are thrown on the ground by dozens of zombies with no one else to help... The scene of John Snow hiding behind a rock from undead dragon's blue fire is silly. The dragon can destroy THE WALL and the castle both immense constructions but can't destroy a simple rock. The scene where Arya sneaks around is so dumb, why are the undead randomly walking slowly back and forth in some library instead of all fightning. Remember how in the beginning of this episode, white walkers charge like crazy at the enemy? When the night king resurrects the dead around Jon Snow, they just slowly walk towards him LMAO it is such a stupid scene plot armor scene. Not to mention that he is alone around like 50 walkers and somehow he kills them all and they just let him kill them one by one instead of charging like they did before. And the kill itself. While very emotional and hype, let's be honest here, how did she sneak by all the undead, and night king's generals? It should have been John, his entire story besides the wildlings was about night king and white walkers. Imagine instead of Tyrion killing Tywin that Sansa would do it. Besides that I loved the music, overall quality of CGI and non CGI was top level amazing watch, but there's so much obvious plot armor here like to the dumbest degree that it's hard to get past it. As always amazing reaction!

Only one I saw slightly addressed was the dragon. It had been injured, and specifically in the neck area. But yeah, clearly, they just wanted big cinematic moments, and they didn't really care how they got there or if it made any sense when you thought about it for 5 seconds. I still count this episode as part of the watchable season, because those cinematic moments were bangers. Everything following, literally one of the worst nose dives in TV series history.

Athasin

I kind of hope they watch House of the Dragon right after.

Does everyone remember some of the just absolute nonsense theories that flooded the internet, desperately trying to tie loose ends or string together completely made-up narratives? I remember one in particular that said Jon was actually yelling GO! GO! as a signal to Arya. And you could actually trick your ear into hearing it if you rewatched it over and over. Anyways, all the plot holes and dumb decisions in this episode still gave us Ramin Djawadi's masterpiece. I randomly listen to The Night King often and I can picture the entire scene playthrough because that score was so epic.

Eric

Absolutely right. This was one dumb decision after another. A perfect lesson in what not to do when facing an army that consists almost entirely of foot soldiers. They had air superiority, artillery, a cavalry and superior firepower and they squandered all of them opting to fight the dead head on instead...

Joe Blankenship

You'd think the smart move would be to have both the dragons standing out front, blowing 'em back with the hot breaths.

Joe Blankenship

Prince Oberyn would've been proud of Lady Mormont for taking down a giant infected. But I thought she was supposed to be immune to the Night King fungus.

Matthew s

"I want mashed potatoes" took me out.

Hennnyy

Finally watching this episode and honestly Arya killing the Night King didn’t piss me off as much as I thought it would. Dare I say the internet may have overreacted when this episode first came out? (What else is new)

Chris Bruneau

I remember the very first time I saw this episode, and about 2/3rds in, I was saying out-loud "are the baddies actually going to win?" I really thought that GRR martin was about do me dirty with another Red Wedding!! glad I was wrong but DAMN it was pretty close!!!

MarisoL

I personally also didn't like the way Theon died, just dumb for him to charge at the Night King like that, I'd prefer him being taken over by many walkers or whatever else.

Elesh

True, I think much better death for him would be if he covered bran with his own body and night king stabbed him with his sword. Much more dramatic and fitting.

Leo

Man i really never rewatched the show since it released until now, everything leading up to this is extremely good television, sadly from here on out this is where the series goes downhill from what i can remember, let's relive the dogshit writing from now on :c

Eamon

The episode that utterly tarnished the game of thrones brand, i have book reader and show fanatic friends who didnt even finish the season after this and stopped liking the ip altogether, it really is impressive. The fact that its so dark too is just the comedy icing on the cake, you can barely see whats happening for most of the episode, barely anyone even dies, the big bad dissapears like a fart in the wind, nothing was connected, nothing fell into place, just exceptionally awful twilight esque slop. Nice to see the girls get something out of it at least, when it aired me and my gf were sitting watching it like -_- -_- just over it, no emotions to spare for any of the meaningless events.

Ryley

I couldn't help but think Arya being the one to end the Night King was the God of Death "sending his regards". Anyway, see ya'll next week for what will no doubt be the best reaction yet 😆

Ryley

They're gonna love who ends up on the Iron Throne.

Ryley

Arya was acting as an agent of the true God of Death, who was probably not to happy with the Night King's shenanigans. As for Jon, his story is set in the far north, where he deals with Wildlings and White Walkers. But Jon's story is really about the conflict between love and duty. His own great-great-great-uncle says as much. His whole arc seasons 2-4 is all about it. And his two fathers represent opposite sides of that choice. And it is the crux of what happens to him in the finale.

sablo

The battle tactics feels like me playing Rome: total war where i throw everything i have head on lol and i end up loosing. This episode is amazing in a entertaining way but wow considering they have many high-up people with plenty of military experience and they planned the defense for a long time they sure shit the bed with this one, the Dothraki charge is the most stupid war move displayed in movie history. However looking it this from a different angle, they did need the night king to feel bold enough to come in close, remember the main goal was to get him.

Athasin

"Winter is coming" was a saying for a reason.

Athasin

What I love about this episode is how it goes from epic battle to straight horror movie real quick.

Athasin

We saw Jon burn his hand when he grabbed the lantern to kill the first white walkers that woke up at the Keep, to save Commander Mormont.

Athasin

Especially when it was forshadowed back in what, season 2, with the "brown eyes, green eyes, BLUE eyes" comment.

Zeynep Ertüz

I haven’t finished the episode yet, but putting the most vulnerable people in the crypt was one of the dumbest ideas ever. The army of the dead is coming—so let’s hide where we’ve buried our dead? Are you serious, my dude?

Zeynep Ertüz

Also, the supposed smartest minds in Westeros decided to put the Dothraki on the front lines—with regular weapons—without even knowing Melisandre was going to show up? Cool spectacle, sure, but Tyrion—“the smartest man alive”—and all those other seasoned battle masterminds seemed pretty dim with that tactical brilliance. They knew the dead could only be harmed by dragonglass, Valyrian steel, or fire, and still went in with standard weapons only to make Dotharaki join the other side? Come on.

Centarius

I hated so much about this episode. As someone who's studied medieval sieges and battles and played my fair share of strategy games and it really irks me that the SMARTEST minds in Westeros don't know how to properly conduct their units. Who the fuck sends the Dothraki on a suicide charge in the middle of the night against an enemy that can raise the dead??? Why the fuck are your catapults not BEHIND your units, barricades, or walls. There should have been WAY more archers pelting obsidian arrows into the army from behind the walls. Obsidian is literally a 1 shot kill, 1,000 soldiers with 30 arrows could have killed 30,000 undead. The Unsullied and the North armies should have been behind the walls on the ramparts or behind the trench barricade. The Dothraki should have been in the forest to the left and right and arrived in a pincer maneuver from both sides once the dead started to crash against the walls. It feels like the Dan and Dave wanted to have this epic shot of the charge into the undead army but they didn't stop to think how god damn stupid that was.

Aj

From now on? More like from season 5 on...

Leo

Okay that's ur opinion, i dont remember asking for it :)

Anthony Turley

EPIC Reactions by You Ladies !!! I really enjoyed watching the episode with You Two

Christopher B
