Okay, here we go Whistler was brought back because of fans and yes to save Blade. Karen said she made the cure. Y'all its a superhero vampire movie stop trying to make sense of everything. Also there's deleted scenes showing Blade and Nyssa's relationship growing. They also explained how people change into vampires within 72 hours. So Blade could've been gone that long when Whistler was attacked. Now I will admit they could've done better explaining things but hey it's the early 00s deadlines then we're a bitch.

Some of the full body CG in this looks really off but they rest of it looks great, especially the closeup shots of the mutated vamp. Also props to Luke Goss playing the bad guy. I always knew him as a popstar in the 80s/90s so it gave me serious whiplash to see how good he was in this. Also great in Hellboy 2.

10 minutes in and Arianna is demanding answers to every last story and plot thread the movie has to offer within the rest of its 110 minute runtime. I’m sorry, but wtf? (A) it’s a Blade movie and the first one has already established just what that entails, (B) and what that initially entails is a silly, but cool AF action sequence showing you just how badass Blade is, before (C) settling down like any other action movie to tell the story it wants to tell and answer the questions you may have. I mean come on, settle down and maybe not nitpick a goofy-ass vampire action flick that doesn’t take itself remotely seriously.
