The new Blade was greenlit and cast 6 years ago, but a pandemic, a strike and about a dozen different dumbass ideas and script attempts got in the way of it ever getting made. Last I heard Marvel had either given up the ghost or now have it earmarked for a 2031 release when we’ll all be ghosts anyway, so eh.

Just feel like I need to point out that in the first movie they establised that vampires wearing sun screen are able to stand in the sun, so why the need for the full body suits in the start of this is beyond this. Also I forgot HHH was in this.

The only version I could find to watch was the unrated version, so it was a little different, about 20minutes longer different, here are some longer parts that were missing/changed. 1. The scene after the opening scene, where it gets right into the building exploding, was instead the interview scene with people wanting to know who Blade was. After it it immediately cuts to the building exploding. This was my first clue that I was watching the wrong version. I think the version they watched has much better flow at this part. 2. There is entire scene of Drake getting very intimate with Parker Posey's character about turning her into a stronger vampire, I want to say it goes on for like 3minutes, this is never brought up again. I can see why they cut it out. 3. In the version they watched it was indeed Blade shirtless on the ground, in the unrated version its still Blade but he still has all of his gear on. I only bring this up because Arianna mentioned it and it didn't match what I saw, so I rewound both just to see. 4. At the end there is an entire sequence where they show Blade was brought back to some medical facility but he wakes up before they can begin to operate on him and fights off the doctors and then presumably escape. There isn't any real sound during this scene just some dramatic music and heavy breathing. The same ending plays with the Ryan Reynolds narration happens afterwards. Every thing else that made the movie longer was slightly longer scenes to scenes that don't matter or slightly longer action scenes which I just thought were cool. For example in the unrated version the scene where Drake goes to the vampire enthusiast store, they have a cute gag where the soda is called Drac Cola.

its not over--Marvel Studios is currently developing a new Blade movie within the MCU, starring Mahershala Ali. Yes, folks another shitty remake is headed our way!
