Um okay, I guess... the first movie is not even that terrible, they kind of at least tried to do *something* with EL James' terrible script. But the sequels go off the rails, they're so bad, and not even in a fun so-bad-they're-good way, they're just awful and boring and incomprehensible.

Also I think the fact that Jamie Dornan was playing a serial killer (who preyed on women) in a show (The Fall) right around the time they were looking for Christian Grey so that did a lot of heavy lifting in selling him for the role.

I'm sorry, I never read the books, this is my first time watching this, but did anyone else get the feeling that Ana was kind of autistic coded? I'm not saying that in any derogatory way, its just the vibe she was giving off to me, especially in the first like 30minutes. Maple fucking nailed it when she said that the way Christian talks is like how you would read a neutral sounding text message. Nothing he says is sexy, nothing sounds dominate, its just comes off as cold and psychopathic. Also I fucking LOST it when he left the "play room" and came back wearing his BDSM jeans. Also I looked it up Dakota Johnson only got paid $250k for this role, I remember being shocked when I learned that Elizabeth Berkley was paid $100k for Showgirls. Dakota Johnson shows such much bush, gets spanked, showed so much tit. I mean at least Dakota got two more movies.

The Fall was amazing; so dark, twisted and extremely psychologically disturbing. Arianna and Maple would love it. If it didn’t get under their skin, I would be surprised.

Well that was fucking horrendous. I have to say thank you for validating my assumption that this was a terrible movie but oh my god. I have not been so turned off by erotica since you forced me to watch showgirls. Absolutely abominable. Good reaction though, I appreciate you guys finishing twilight the way it deserves.
