Andrew

So excited to see your reaction! Such a good movie

Endeedee

Just watched this last week. It's excellent!

Jacob Livingston

What an awesome surprise!!! Fantastic movie. This reaction is going to be great

Jakob Edkin

Y’all keep up the good work

Chris Bruneau

I haven't seen this, but heard good things--not one for the "Bad Movies" channel :)

That conversation at the end about how vampirism translates on stage—you' all GOTTA watch AMC's Interview With the Vampire. It's an exquisitely made two television seasons, and Jacob Anderson (Greyworm) is magnificent.

Blkm44

fantastic reaction!

Jaylennn

i would love to see yall react to requiem for a dream

Athasin

What a pleasant surprise. Can't wait to see your guy's reaction to this.

Hennnyy

Was waiting on this one 🙂‍↕️

Xavier Chandler

They call him Mr. Walk 'Em Down 🙅🏾💯💥

Athasin

It's so crisp because it was filmed on actual film.

Athasin

Also The Accountant and the Accountant 2 are both very good movies.

This movie was beautiful in every way, definitely my favorite movie this year so far. Ryan Coogler's inspirations and the various influences he draws from for this film are incredibly interesting, especially when paired with the layered messaging throughout. (Seriously—go read and watch his interviews!) It even got me into listening to a ton of old-school blues and Irish folk music!

Xavier Chandler

Grace crashed out about her baby like she was supposed to🤷🏾‍♂️

Xavier Chandler

Another correlation between the brothers is the fact that both of them seemingly get to spend eternity w/their respective families but have to give up each other.

Joe Blankenship

Oh hey, that was Buddy Guy there at the end, playing old Sammy. I didn't recognize him without hair and the polka dotted strat.

Owen

Honestly I hadn't seen the movie yet and I ended up turning off the reaction because the movie was too good to watch with an earbud in. This movie rocked.

Owen

They need to watch Bram Stoker's Dracula first

☆kat☆

Ohh that would be a really fun one! Maybe they can do it for one of their movie reactions. Keep the Vampire momentum going.

I will forever be confused about "why is so much sex in this movie" complaint. Well, maybe not, sure there are F tier movies that have sex scenes that last for like 5 minutes at a time, multiple times a movie, but to bring it up during this movie is something I dont understand. People who love each other have sex, sex isn't shameful, its the most natural thing we do as humans. There is a total of MAYBE 2 minutes of sex in this movie. if my math is right that is like 1.5% of the movie being sex scenes. So there being "SO MUCH SEX" is just an overreaction. Edit: This is probably going to be my favorite movie of the year. The only other ones I'm waiting to see is "I know what your did last Summer"(I'm old and the original is still one of my favorites) and "Weapons"

Chris Bruneau

the scene depicting all the different genres of music, both past and present, from across various cultures is pure cinematic magic!!!

Faeginn

I love the underlying theme of Remmick being completely sociopathic from an eternity of loneliness and seeking connection. Its just such a fresh take on the vampire lore to explore that through Blues music and just the general human condition - pain, loss, kinship. Also that scene with Remmick dancing that Irish jig was such a cool visual with all their eyes glowing in the dark, like a demonic ritual to speak to the dead and kinda like some weird euphoric event.

Eddie

I watched this movie for the first time with you guys on this Watch Along, so thank you for the company :) Then I watched your YT reaction and those vultures kept following the twins throughout the movie. I think you were right about the blood money the brought back from Chicago.

Owen

I finally finished your reaction on this one and yeah man this movie is a fucking gem. What an absolute masterpiece.

Saw Buddy Guy a few times at Blue Note in NYC. He's amazing!
