Dante

Let's go 😃

Dustin Fitzpatrick

daemon was laughing during the funeral cause the guy giving the eulogy was throwing shade at rhaenyras kids

Xavier Chandler

Oddly seasoned is wild hunnids but pelican is fk'n outrageous 😂👌

jose giron

I mean they jumped aemon though 😂😂 those little kids could have easily gone to the adults and told them that aemon stole a dragon, idk on this one yeah he was cruel and stuff but aemon ultimately was just defending himself imo, lost an eye for it but gained a dragon 😅. Dint think about this at the time but also if aemon is a reflection of alicent parenting then so they are a reflection of the kings parenting as well.

Christophe

Interesting, I like this episode, but the next one is my favorite

Dante

Vaemond: “Salt courses through Velaryon blood. Ours runs thick. Ours runs true. And ours must never thin” Daemon: 🤣

Matilda Beekay

I can't wait to see your reactions to the next couple of episodes, I'm so goddamn excited. This is such a great episode, part of me wishes that like the book things with the kids' parentage and Laenor's fate were a bit more ambiguous, but either way I feel like this episode really encapsulates what's so great about Game of Thrones and House of the Dragons, and GRRM's work in general, which is the interesting and nuanced character drama between a bunch of imperfect people. I will say that as a queer woman with a kid, the arc with Laenor is emotionally rough for multiple reasons, but there's still a small part of me that goes "No turkey basters in Westeros?"

walid_zzz

I honestly didn’t understand either. Aemond gets attacked first, but he's the only one seen as cruel in this scene? I kind of expected it , a lot of reactors don’t really take a step back when watching this scene.

Athasin

Vhagar is actually the biggest girl of them all. The mother of dragons before Dany.

NF

It’s hilarious how every reaction always thinks Aemond was the aggressor in the fight. They literally hit him first then jumped him and he grabbed a rock for self defense and threatened them with it to get them to stop hitting him. If he wanted to hit them with the rock he could have lol. It’s really funny how perception really can affect what you think you saw

Anakin

I don't see grabbing rock just for scaring them off, he was literally grinning and outing them as bastards while choking the kid probably 5-6 years younger. Also lucerys didn't go for his eye, it was accident. Aemond was clear aggressor, and I get people online like to sympathize him in later episodes but you don't pick up rock after getting kiddy-punched by 2-3 kids after taunting them about their mother's death

Aj

I wish they didn't take such liberties with the source material in this show, but alas, it's to be expected when you're not really even adapting a bunch of novels like with Game of Thrones, but instead this psuedo-historical document that is nowhere near as detailed.

Anakin

"beware of butterflies"

NF

It isn’t about sympathy it’s literally just accurately stating what actually happened when you remove the perception blinders. They hit him first and jumped him and he warned them to stop by saying “come at me again and I’ll [insert threat that isn’t related to the rock he held].” You can’t conflate he was a meanie with he was the aggressor which is what reactors usually do.

Joao

They all suck, they all lie and they all do it for right and power and each characters have they right to be angry at each other. And to be fair the kids attacked almond first and they are indeed basterds…

Daniel Q

You know, when I first saw this episode when it came out, I also came away as seeing Aemond as the aggressor. His verbal belligerence, insults, and dragon taming are obviously the instigating factors, but it is the girls who physically attack first. (And when kids are that young I’m giving little leeway to the fact that they are girls and he a boy). Also they are literally pummeling the shit out of him for a while before he grabs that rock. Aemond, even here, is a cocky little prick, but the Team Black kids here are the aggressors in my mind.

Anaïs

« Your going to die screaming just like you father did bastard » not menacing at all noooo

Valor Morghulis

No, I hear you but to act like he didn’t antagonize the situation is insane. He took their dead mother’s dragon, and then tried to be funny about it on the night of her funeral. The girls hitting aemond was wrong, but remember the boys only jumped in because he threatened to feed baela to his dragon. Twice he threatened those kids with death. He threatened the girls, and then he threatened the boys. Then taunted them by calling them bastards.

Valor Morghulis

I think hes seen as cruel because he is actively threatening to kill these kids. How are you missing that? I mean, The girls hit him first nd that was wrong but are we really gonna act like he didn’t just take their mother‘s dragon on the night of her funeral? After the girls hit him he hit back, with both girls on the ground he then proceeded to threaten to feed her to his dragon, only then did the boys step in, he whooped they ass too, and then he threatened to kill them as well with a rock in his hand holding it over luce while choking him, only then did Jace pull out his blade.

Lucas

Forget the sides the way Arianna is absolutely infuriated at every sight of Criston's face is so funny to me lmao "Criston SHUT UP" lmao

IQLou

Aemond IS the victim... yall are buggin lol Ok maybe not a victim but he was 1v4 and had plenty chances to hurt them way worse. He was definitely insufferable but he prob thought the same when they teased him. Great reaction anyway, I watch for the bias 🤣

MGCR

There are only two animated Disney films made since 1937 that are not worth watching. If you two wanna get into all 60 + of them, I'm here for it.

CK12341

While I agree that they attacked first, and there is a both sides suck here situation, even using "they are indeed basterds" as part of a justification is lame and gross. As if, A. being a bastard is deserving of being ridiculed for that fact regardless of how true it is, and B. that it is even remotely something they can control.

CK12341

Oh boy, and here starts the weekly crying in the comments from whichever side the reactors don't choose when it comes down to green vs black. Just enjoy the reactions and show. Not everyone is going to side with the side you want

Daymee

Yes, and that one did confuse me on first watch, because the young versions of the characters looked like the opposite of the older versions of the characters, if that makes sense. I only mention it because the aging up of Rhaenyra and Allicent were so immediately obvious to me, but the aging up we are about to see look so opposite to the young versions. And at this point names et confusing, especially among twins.

Travis

Oh my god I wish I could time travel to next Thursday

Chris Bruneau

this show has more melo-drama than a soap opera!!!

Anakin

lmao exactly, people expect reactors to react according to how they feel about something they've watched multiple times and already analyzed and saw the discourse

Michael

i know ppl gas up that 300 page book..but im kinda glad they did their own thing in a way

Joshua Luzania

This has gone untalked about bc of the arguing bout the child fight, but if you recall last ep, when Aemond was talking with Alicent about getting a dragon, Helaena was sitting off to the side mumbling "he'll have to close an eye". Just be sure to listen to Helaenas ramblings from now on, you never know. And if you look at the sea burial of Laena again, Veamond is staring daggers at Rheanyra and her kids, while talking about not letting Velaryon blood thin or what not. So Daemon is just laughing at Vaemonds audacity (and remember Vaemond was stoking mutiny against Daemond in the stepstones. there is history there).

IQLou

Fair points Lucas

Colin Farewell

Aemond didn't do anything wrong by "taking" their mother's dragon. Dragons choose their riders. I don't know why people always bring that up as some wrong thing he did that instigated the situation.

Ferdinand Martinez

I think both children messed up but I find it hilarious how everyone acts like they're adults. He was mean initially but they ran up on him by himself. Also as a kid if 4 people come out you how would y'all feel? but with that being said aemond escalated it but he also showed up to his cousin with a knife in general.

Teyon Alexander

Sex scenes never add anything to a story. The implication of it is as significant as seeing the act itself. Loved your faces when the plan to end their marriage unfolded lol.

Richard Z Herrera

Team Black! I support only the true born heir, Rhaenyra. Honor the oaths sworn before the old gods and the new. Aegon is the second born son and has no right to the crown.

Richard Z Herrera

It depends on where you fall in terms of whether he had the right to attempt to claim Vhegar so close to the funeral. That could be argued as the first blow thrown, and cousins were merely defending their family as a result. Regardless, I would not label Aemond as the victim. Right no right to make the attempt, to not expect consequence after such an act is ridiculous.

Richard Z Herrera

Timing for one. And we clearly see that dragons can and will choose multiple riders throughout their life. So there is no certainty that Vhegar wouldn't have chosen one of the daughters when they made the attempt...after the appropriate period of mourning. Id argue that making the attempt when he did was theft. If he had waited till after the girls had tried, yeah, it'd be fine. But he effectively disrespected their mother's death and stole their birthright.

Erik D

The Gooner, the Douche and the Wardrobe.

Matthew D

I’ll never understand how people blame Aemond for the fight, they ran up on him 4 vs 1.

Zynthio

Not them hoping Aemond does something badass with Vhagar... not realizing how much of a problem it is that he claimed her
