I'm glad you liked this one, its usually the divisive episode. I personally find it a little chivalric which makes me not want to like it, but the jokes are solid and its good character development for Mal and Inara. See you next week!

For such a short series, it feels very lived-in, which I think is a big part of the appeal. Almost cozy, like most of the fun is charcater-first, plot-second, just watching them bounce off of each other.

100%, I love how content she is at the end. She got her good day and also learned she didn't have to be judged by petty bitches and that she can have her choice of the manfolk by just talking about her passion. I just call out Mal and Inara because they get the most development, unfortunately Kaylee never really had her time in the spotlight, except for this episode. Damn you have a point, she's having her moment here. Type shit.

Mal is such as chivalric curmudgeon. He can't reconcile his masculinity and inability to confront his emotional needs with his sensitive moral center. They just sit there side by side. Also love that you love Kaylee so much. A sign of good people.
