I watched this earlier in the week, and I tried to rewatch it for this, but I couldn’t get past the first 20 minutes. This movie has nothing going for it: bad writing, bad acting, and terrible CGI for the aliens. It basically felt like a 90-minute ad for Amazon

I didn't know if anything could ever make Unfriended (2014) use of video/chat look good, but damn this movie really did that. It really did that. I just want to say that I really hate it when "actors" just play themselves. The Rock, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Mark Wahlberg ect. Its just so lame. I really just watched an hour and a half of old man Icecube sit Infront of a PC. This is exciting though, I've never watched the worst movie of the year in the year it was released. The story, the cgi, the acting, the dialog, all the absolute worst lol. I couldn't stop laughing when he kept playing his dead wife's voice message before the data got eaten by the aliens. Edit: The aliens are just the Nudar from Futurama. Can't wait for the ID4 reaction. Also really love how every other website was down except for Amazon and Youtube.

I just saw it and I can't hate on Cube too much. He probably got paid close to 100k for just a few days of work. I would be shocked if he spent more than 4 days on set. I was thinking of Neil Breen with just how much stock footage is in this thing before y'all said it! Also, as a veteran the movie got... a few things wrong here and there! "We're going to DEFCON!" Yeah, we're always at DEFCON something, that's just an indicator of the military's readiness to deploy en masse. Today, 10 August, we are at DEFCON 5 which is the most relaxed. Last time we went as low as DEFCON 3 was 9/11. Also, you were correct that using your government computer to spy on anyone in America without specific authorization from a very high rank or a warrant is highly illegal. Lastly, I can't recommend Cool As Ice (1991) enough. The main actor and the film think that the main character is the coolest, charismatic guy on the planet while he is in actuality, so hilariously cringe. Y'all will have fun with that! Also, Sleepwalkers (1992) is criminally unknown but camp gold.

The most unrealistic thing about this is that Ice Cube plugged the flash drive in right side up on the first try. If they'd showed him having to flip it around, I could've believed it. Whole movie ruined.

Yeah i think you nailed it. i would be surprised if Ice worked for more than a few days. He memorized his lines the night before. did one or two takes. cashed the check. I aint mad at him if he understood what movie he was in and wasnt about to sweat over it.

Yes please watch Independence Day, we need some redemption from this turd. Wonder if you could double that with Independents’ Day which is the Asylum version. Anything is better than an hour and a half of staring at a computer screen. Maple’s recreation of the FaceTime call was hilarious! “We’re watching a video game” ‘No, we’re watching Amazon save the day!’ 😆 I’d rather watch 8 hours of Neil Breen pecking away on a blank laptop.
