Owen

FINALLY

Owen

Thanks so much!

Noah

Louis Brasi sleeps with the fishes

Jay Davis

{Insert obligatory joke about girls have never seen The Godfather here?} No seriously though. Nice surprise. Looking forward to your reaction to this masterpiece. Thanks!

Michael

Is there anyway to watch these reactions with audio and it doesn’t say copyright on the screen?

Trevor Go

Thank you. I love how the lack of commentary shows the power of this film. I'd love to see you guys come back for a rewatch 6 months to a year from now.

f hf

Holy shit, was not expecting this lol. I was actually planning to rewatch this tonight

Chris Bruneau

you have to have your own copy and play them side-by-side

Sam Rogers

unfortunately not. you need to find a streaming service that has this (or pirate it) and start watching it at the same time.

Marcus Cato

There's differences, Christopher, between the Luca Brasi situation and this.

Sam Rogers

Carlitos Way and Donnie Brasco are some good Pacino films

Michael

Damn. Thanks for answering me ?. I enjoy this Channel so figured I would join up on Patreon but seems like a lot of work for all of that. Mine as well just wait for the edited drops on YouTube unfortunately

Sam Rogers

its not as daunting as it sounds. most streaming apps have a "pop out player" if you watch on a laptop, that way you can watch the reaction video with the "pop out" on screen. Or you could watch the videos on your television and play the reaction from your patreon phone app

Sam Rogers

let me know if you need any help. i wouldnt want you to have spent money on this not have watched anything. (im sure the comunity will also help!)

Chris Bruneau

what a classic film!! now you guys have to do the other "great" gangster films; Carlito's way, Blow, & Goodfellas!!! Also, the sequel is considered even better than PT-1, so looking forward to that one next week hopefully!!

Nathan Smith

Essential Pacino: Dog Day Afternoon, Heat, Carlito's Way, and one of my favorites, The Insider. Not one of my favorites, but Scent of a Woman is the role which he won his Oscar for.

Chris Bruneau

Scent of a Woman is one of my all-time favorite films! We used to watch it every Thanksgiving as a family tradition.

LucasHolliday

Luca Brasi!...Luca. There's differences Christopha ok? Between the Luca Brasi situation and this.

LucasHolliday

Great to see you enjoying this one so much. Perhaps this one will open to you a plethora of classics now that Pacino and Brando are on your radar.

Justtired

Maple needs to go on a Pacino film journey. 🤣

Trevor Go

I'd also love to see you guys do Boardwalk Empire, which really will give them that crime family background.

Nathan Smith

It's a good movie, but you know......different strokes for different folks.

Pyt

"Its giving Ben Franklin off duty" made me choke on my drink. Maple pointing out that when they were killing Sonny that they would have been shooting at each other reminded me of the movie Ronin (1998), there is a scene in there that addresses this exact plan, it stars Robert De Niro and Jean Reno.

Daniel

If you guys are down for another organized crime movie I really have to recommend "Road to Perdition" with Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, Daniel Craig, and Jude Law

UncomfortableAnswers

Arianna INSTANTLY clocking Johnny Fontaine as Sinatra. Girl knows what's up. Sinatra was PISSED about this character because it implied he only got famous because of his connections and not his talent.

Pyt

I cant remember what video it was but I remember hearing Arianna saying that mob/crime movies was her favorite genre. So I hope we get The Godfather Part II (1974) next week.

Joe Blankenship

I second that one. The acting is killer and the production design is on point. It feels like they went back in time and filmed that show.

Joe Blankenship

I went through a phase as a teenager where I was obsessed with mob movies and Godfather 1 and 2 were my favorites. It's been a while since I've watched them. They're good but I don't hold em up like I used to. Scent of a Woman is probably my favorite Pacino movie that I like to rewatch from time to time. Also, Godfather 3 isn't terrible. It's just not as good as the first 2. That's kinda how it goes when you wait 16 years to make a sequel. But there is a line in part 3 that gets quoted constantly, probably more than any line in the first 2. And I agree about Kay. He flat out told her what kind of business his family was in. But she wanted to stick around, knowing full well that Michael was taking over that business.

Jeff Strucel

Paying for the Patreon then just having the copyright over everything made me cancel. It's kind of bullshit.

Kevin Charley

You're paying for their videos. Not the studios'.

Athasin

A classic.

Joe Stüll

Thats pretty standard for reaction channels

Joe Stüll

Looking forward to part 2.

LSTER

Glengarry Glen Ross

Joshua Luzania

if u dont wanna pay for the shows just find it free on your own. they are not allowed to post that here

Kevin Charley

Definitely watch part 3, as well. It's not as good. But that doesn't mean it's bad.

Kevin Charley

The old slogan for premium TV was: "it's not TV; it's HBO." Watching that mini series made me realize they just went back to TV.

Marcus Cato

Criticizing a reaction channel for obeying the laws regarding copyrighted content, when breaking those laws can threaten the existence of the channel and the livelihood of the content creator, is a truly bizarre take.

Alex Nelson

I highly recommend you read the novel the movies were based on. The author was heavily involved in producing all the movies and so they really kept that specific tone he wrote with.

Anthony Lucido

Highly recommend reacting to the show “The Offer” about the creation of the film

Joe Blankenship

Plus, it's the one with the line that gets quoted all the time.

Ben

Three Women (1977) would be a fantastic reaction!

Daymee

Great reaction to a great film! I've been a subscriber to this channel long enough to know this isn't the place for other recommendations, but if we're all in the mood for mob gangster films, now is a great time for "Miller's Crossing". The Italian and Irish mafia go to war in 1929. And I didn't spoil anything, because that is scene one. A stellar Coen Brothers film. The writing really shines.

Diegesis

There's no wrong place for a recommendation. And every Coen Brothers film is excellent :)

Chris Bruneau

the musical theme from that film is one of greatest of all time, I will often play it on you tube. its an Irish tune scored by Carter Burwell

Ker'Mhod

the could also watch devil's advocate. good Al Pacino movie, and Keanu is always one of the best to watch too!

Daymee

I agree. Carter Burwell is definitely under-rated.

Jonathan Blaze

All time classic film! You can see countless influences on other films and TV shows like Game of Thrones come from this movie.

MabelandMargaret

Oh yeah? What from GoT is inspired by it- I love trivia like this.

MabelandMargaret

Y'all GOTTA watch part 2! These movies are amazing and really are two parts of one story. Loved this reaction. <3

Pirateman

And that he was a Hollywood finocchio

sheriffjt

Miller's Crossing is my favorite Coen brothers film. You get great dialog, great story, great acting, plus a mob story in New Orleans

Daymee

My favorite bit of dialogue is Albert Finny right at the beginning: "Take your flunkies and dangle."

Ozmond

how did i not realize you reacted to this.

Tim

Definitely once they finish Sopranos. To my mind it’s always been a spiritual sequel.
