Game of Thrones 8x3 'The Long Night' | First Time Reaction

Patreon for Full-Length Watch Alongs & Early Access: https://www.patreon.com/diegesisTV We’re finally here — the Battle of Winterfell! In Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 3, “The Long Night,” the dead arrive at Winterfell, and every major character fights for survival. This is the darkest, most ambitious battle in television history — a tense, chaotic, and emotional hour-and-a-half of television. From the Dothraki charge into the night, to the dragons battling above the clouds, to Arya’s unforgettable moment in the godswood, this is the episode fans had been waiting for since the very beginning.

Invincible Ninja Arya was in fact one of the worst things this show ever came up with

I believe this was one of the most expensive single episodes of any scripted television series ever filmed. But for the ridiculous amount of money they spent filming this, you would think they could have done a better job with the lighting. It's virtually impossible to watch this episode in the daytime without feeling as though you're missing half of what's happening on screen because you can't see it.

Editing for this and the one before was fe'd up. Your editor messed it up, dude. in the 8x2 episode, Pod's song was one of the best, and in this episode, Theon's shots were the best, and you guys edited them out. But you guys are rolling in damn good with your content.

Wild how Sam sat on the floor crying and the dead just running right by him. Season 8 was by far the worse season. They spent 8 season building up the Night King to be the big bad, and he was easily defeated by Arya, who never finished her training and spent very little time actually becoming “proficient” with a weapon. A lot of characters went to shit in these last two seasons.

I happened to love it. And with the “princess who was promised” it was back in Season 3, when Danaerys first meets Missandei, that it is revealed that in whatever language the prophecy was from, the term for prince has no gender. So no reason why it couldn’t be a highborn female like Arya.

Jessica Foss

The prophecy uses the Valyrian term for "prince," which is gender-neutral, suggesting a princess could also fulfill the prophecy.

somehow palpatine has returned level writing and pay-off

From what I noticed, the girls aren't very musically attuned and rarely comment anything about the soundtrack or diegetic music. Which is disappointing to me as a music nerd but it just is what it is. As far as I remember, they didn't really have any reaction or anything to say about Podrick singing Jenny of Oldstones. So I guess it makes sense to cut that part out for the edited version. Plus, afaik, songs are generally even more of a bitch to get past copyright claims, so that might also be part of it.

Jon never even fought the night king lol a series of build up just for Arya to pop out of a bush.

The biggest "somehow" is coming next episode with the dothraki.

I'm still annoyed at how she Brienne to a standstill when in reality the fight would be like that one in S5 when Daario wanted to bet on the little guy.
