I think in Ethan's mind he didn't do anything wrong since he rejected Mia's advances, so he's confused about what Harper wants him to tell her about the previous night with Cameron. Mia did kiss him to try to initiate sex, but he shut it down very quickly (I think they kissed for maybe 4 or 5 seconds) because he clearly felt guilty about it. The whole bro code thing is something that he let Cameron alpha-dog him into, and Ethan's clearly not good at standing up to Cameron. In his mind he doesn't think it's his place to say anything about what Cameron was getting into. And he also thinks he's the good guy in that situation since he didn't fully cheat on Harper even though he knows he could have (ie Mia was very willing to have sex with him). Ethan's principal failure is that he needs to grow a spine and not get himself sucked into Cameron's bullshit.

S4 is in development, but it probably won't be released until 2027, because it's an HBO show and there are frequently pretty big gaps between seasons with their programming - S3 premiered a little more than 2 years after the S2 finale. No idea what impact the Netflix acquisition of WBD (which includes HBO) announced this morning will have on the production schedule. The only thing known at this time is that S4 will be set in the French Riviera.

I hate how I kind of hate both Albie and Portia xD like Albie is so painful, he's so unaware and yet, he seems very aware of what's going on between him and Portia, and also what's going on between Portia and Jack, but he just won't admit it to himself? So he makes these painful attempts to like alpha-dog Jack which are just weird and pathetic. But then also, Portia, fucking make up your mind already. Ditch Albie ffs, just tell him, not interested, end of story. She keeps like intentionally stringing him along because she hopes that maybe, if she tries hard enough, she might feel some attraction, but it's just not there, give it up babes. And throughout all that, it's also painful to me how kind of relatable I think Albie is here ^^' like I'd never go as far as he has here, I would've given up the attempt a long time ago with Portia, seeing it for what it is. But still... xD I do kind of get him. Portia is sweet and cute and vulnerable and it makes sense that he's attracted to her. And yeah, it IS pretty annoying if she's the kind of girl who claims to want something deeper, a "nice guy", only to then immediately be swooned by the charismatic but empty-headed pretty boy. I kind of hate that the show makes this whole thing so relatable when I intellectually feel that I shouldn't be on Albie's side because he's kind of creepy and pathetic himself. Fucking show and its good character writing ^^'
