i haven’t seen this show but i’ve heard it’s better in dub so good choice i guess. i do have a question though: are you guys going to watch all anime going forward in dub or are you going to play it show-by-show? it’s fine if it’s just dub because it’s all personal preference, there’s just some anime that i think you guys will end up watching that i think are much better in the original japanese. either way is fine though im just curious

I watch all my animes in dub to enjoy the art. If I ever do a rewatch then I go sub.

Dub is 100% the right choice for this one. Dubs can be really hit or miss, but FMAB and Bebop are two that DEFINITELY hit Now if you do JJK in the future, I'd suggest the sub because overall I think the voices fit the characters much better. As always, it comes down to personal preference, but there are a few generally agreed upon series that just have insane dubs that blow the subs completely out of the water (looking at you Baccano!)

Dub for jjk isn't bad though. Both are good, I would go Dub for the reaction so they can focus more on the animation of jjk i think its amazing imo.

I wouldn't say it is bad, but it is not good either. I think the original voice acting is significantly better and most of the scenes with heavy animation aren't particularly dialogue heavy The voices fit the characters much better and the direction is a significant improvement. A lot of the best lines and moments sound much, much better in sub

I wouldn't worry about the sub vs dub crowd, just watch what's most enjoyable for you. I've just started watching anime within the last year and honestly I haven't run into a bad dub yet. Also, there aren't a lot of creators who do dub reactions , so it's really nice that this channel does.

I'm actually curious to see how well this holds up. A lot of these older animes often get rated higher than they maybe should, because older people look on it with nostalgia, and younger people believe glazing things that were made before they were born validates other their opinions regarding other stuff. From what I remember Cowboy Beebop was just vibes, with very little substance.

On top of starting one of THE anime classics, you are getting a fantastic intro to one of the best composers of all time. Seriously Yoko Kanno is my queen and all of her work, including on this show, is gold. I have been listening to her music for almost two decades and I never get tired of it. Super happy to see you guys are enjoying the show so far and have been bepopping along to the awesome music :)
