Sorry to everyone who saw this already last week. Normally we would have just osted both but the holidays have thrown off our shooting schedule and so we have a very tight posting situation until we get back on track so if we did that then I would have to not post at all this week. Sorry for the slip up :/

Just a heads up in case nobody else has mentioned this: the intro for the 2nd half of S4 contains spoilers for the season. So if you want to go in completely blind you may want to skip the intro until a certain point.

1. They already finished the series lol 2. did you skip the intro when you first watched. Part of the fun is getting surprised.

yeah, im sorry, but the "don't watch the intro" anime community is crazy. For one, most everyone that says this watched it their first time around, and two, most (keyword most) people who do watch it first almost never deduce anything from the intro anyways. If anything, by telling people not to watch it because of spoilers you're just increasing the likelihood that someone will inadvertently pay more attention to it. I know this isnt the case for everyone, but I have never watched an OP and analyzed or even spent anytime taking in the imagery in it. Ive watched a TON of anime without skipping the OP, and have never once spoiled myself.

No worries about the repeat posting issue— stuff happens, and it was the holidays. Holidays are chaos. Everybody gets a pass in December, lol. Loved the crash-out analysis at the end of this one. The series definitely covers some very heavy and existential material, and I think feeling so conflicted about some of its dilemmas is proof the value of this story. And I agree with y'all, BTW. The sterilization plan Zeke calls "euthanization" is gruesome. It seems to reflect a eugenicist impulse rooted in Zeke's own trauma. Eldians might be "part of Ymir's body" in some abstract sense, but they're also individuals with agency, and making such an extreme decision for all of them without their consent or even awareness... In my opinion, that's unjustifiable, even in the show's dire circumstances.

Ironically, it's this comment and your confirmation that creates the spoiler. On first watch, people don't know whether an intro is literal or just taking creative license

YOU BETTER NOT SKIP THE INTRO FOR THE FINAL SEGMENT OF THE SERIES! Edit: just a little over 2 months and we will have made it all the way to the end. The girls haven't clung to every detail, but they fn GET IT. Can't wait to see their hearts and spirits to be crushed on camera the same way this show killed each and every one of us.

Season 3 Part 2's Intro was EGREGIOUS for spoilers and gave the "Skip" camp too much ammunition. They're absolutely wrong about Season 4 Part 2. That shit slaps and it sets the tone for what we all fear coming.
