Cowboy Bebop: The Movie | Watch Along

Do I have to watch the show to know what's going on?

Quasar

So I don't know if you guys are cool with sharing Youtube links here so I won't link anything, but there was just recently a new updated version of the full Cowboy Bebop title by the Seatbelts. (like released a few days ago recent) Seeing them all these years later still having fun with that theme was amazing. The official title is Yoko Kanno & SEATBELTS - TANK! Extended [Official Music Video] Maybe since you guys enjoyed the music so much you can react to it as a bonus thing?

The music and animation in this movie are the pinnacle of anime. Absolutely beautiful all around. The opening and closing tracks are in my playlists to this day.

Guys, thanks for watching in the order we were never given. Oh btw.. that "his show is like a dream.." comment Maple made in episode 1 comes back hard here.

funny to mention that some of the soundtrack sounds like Mario Kart - T-SQUARE that does the modern MK soundtracks are very much in the same jazz/funk/fusion ballpark as SEATBELTS. between the new TANK! video some others have mentioned in the comments and videos like T-SQUARE vs CASIOPEA on YT there's so much out there to enjoy if you just wanna hear jazz musicians having fun while absolutely crushing it. meant to comment back on ep20, but took me til this rewatch to spot that both Pierre Le Fou and Tong Poo are song names off of Yellow Magic Orchestra's self-titled album (though PLF I think is also an older French theatric/film character?). solo ryuichi sakamoto (RIP) version of Tong Poo is terrific. really just trying to say that I heartily recommend falling down the YT algorithm rabbithole for jazz/fusion/funk if this show's music is your vibe. super excited for the last few episodes!
