This show is crazy. Whats even more crazy is the Maple lore that she has gone to two Tenacious D concerts but has never seen the movie lol. Nevermind 4 times LOL

Jack Black was a stunt cast - I think he and Dan Harmon are friends or have mutual friends(the guy who plays Star Burns might be a friend of Jacks) - and he was a fan of the show. His episode is when the show came back from Christmas break - so having this level of guest star is helpful for a network (here, NBC) to advertise a newer show to help get new viewers to find it. I remember he was in the promos - not sure if Owen was. If you haven't seen it, the High Fidelity movie is a must - period; and also a must for any Jack Black fans. I haven't see Tenacious D in concert as of yet but that is awesome that you enjoy seeing them. I am seeing Phish at Sphere for 2 shows at the end of the month and those will be my 149th & 150th Phish shows for me.

Oh shit I forgot, this is the second time I've ever seen episode 13 because of a little hiccup with a certain download I found in 2014. Episode 13 was missing for reasons I've never found out.

I wish I could say I've seen Tenacious D live more than once. JB's got a killer voice and Kage shreds. I listen to them mainly for the music and the comedy is like a bonus. If yall ever do the Pick of Destiny, you might also want to check out the HBO mini-series from way back in 1997. It's 6 fifteen minute episodes, easy to watch in one sitting.

Dan Harmon co-created a show called Heat Vision and Jack that starred Jack Black as a former astronaut with super-intelligence and his talking motorcycle voiced by Owen Wilson. It obviously was never picked up but the pilot can be found on YouTube.

The subtitles on your videos are wild sometimes. At one point here they got "Pierce" as "Pierce Brosnan." And "Abed" was turned into "Abacus." This isn't a complaint, I can't imagine how much extra work it would be to write real subtitles, and the auto-generated stuff does help with following your conversation and the show at the same time even if it writes gibberish a lot of the time. I just thought "Abacus" was hilarious. Ah, and we meet "the cool study group" that's almost never seen or heard from again. I think even in their absence they add a lot of atmosphere; we can feel how there's a whole world going on at campus that doesn't revolve around That Group, even if they do become the school's focus of attention on a weekly basis. Some neat worldbuilding done in like 5 minutes per season or less.
