Wow, great show, can't wait for next season. Thanks for the reactions ladies, and thanks to the community here for the great discussion around it. I have a lot to process after this episode before I can form any coherent thoughts or opinions.

Yes, there will be a second season, but don't hold your breath on it arriving anytime soon. Probably won't be out for quite awhile, if the release of Severance's second season is any sort of indication (S2 released two years and nine months after the S1 finale). The first season of Pluribus began filming in February 2024, and the first episode wasn't actually released until November 2025 - 21 months later. Season 2 is set to begin filming sometime this fall, which means that even if they trim the principal photography and post-production timeframe down to 15 months, we're still looking at early 2028 as the soonest we can reasonably expect the first episode of S2 to be available. I feel like HBO started the trend of having extremely long gaps between seasons on their prestige shows, and now it's almost industry standard.

I sometimes forget that Carol has a serious drinking problem. Or at least serious enough to have a breathalyzer disabling device on her car and for Helen to spy on her to make sure she's not drinking.

I think the Others would have no problem taking Manousos cells if he was already unconscious. I think they only wouldn't force the needle in someone because there would be screaming and yelling and it would harm themselves. Like their analogy of saving someone from drowning, would you tie a rope to someones leg and break it if it meant they are saved from drowning? I think they would. I think everyone is giving them too much credit in keeping to their morals when it comes to infecting people. Just as a reminder, they killed hundreds of millions in the first infection because they were "found out" by the government (whatever the details of that are).

I think if there's an alien civilization advanced enough to come with some RNA thing that can turn a whole species into a hive mind, then they probably have a VPN or something that makes their signal look like it's coming from way out in space.
