I don't know if you girls know, but Alison Brie (Annie) was also starring in Mad Men (which was at its peak at this time). So her liking Abed's Don Draper in ep 17 is a little nod to that.

Maybe my sixth time seeing these episodes and realizing that they were probably switched in order at some point. Jeff acts somewhat single in episode 17 and references meeting Leonard’s son at family day which is the next episode

I agree, and it would be great if they watched them. I think since there's an odd number of eps(25) it would be fun to do finale + outtakes.

I never noticed that. Honestly, I wouldn't put it past Dan Harmon to do this on purpose. Switching episodes and talking about a switch in one of them? Seems like his kind of thing. :D On the other hand, networks do this kind of shit all the time. Like in Scrubs, when Dr. Cox has short hair all of a sudden, in 2 episodes, and then shaving his head in the third.

It happens again later in season 3 and they make a joke about the planned episode order being swapped
