Can’t believe i’m ugly crying AGAIN at that last scene with ya’ll. I fucking love this show

Jenny_M

That last scene never fails to get me!

Kyle

The perfect reaction! Glad you came around to Ilya! The monologue kills me every time! See you at the cottage!!

DYLAN

To me this is an exemple of a perfect episode.... Like from start to end it's just perfect in every way

Tami

I enjoyed this reaction, but I really hope that at some point you'll rewatch all of the episodes and see how badly you misunderstood Ilya. It's not like he suddenly caught feelings in the middle of this episode. He had those feelings all along, and is just a traumatized, scared, soft-hearted, gentle soul. Even through the first part of this episode, you still were so hard on Ilya because you missed so much of the subtext. If you watch these episodes again, watch his face, pay attention to the things that trigger his walls going back up each time. You were so busy criticizing him all the time that I think you missed a lot. The sweet precious soul that you see in the scenes that made you cry in this episode was always there in Ilya, you just need to see it.

Incomplete understandings of characters are often by narrative design (especially in the romance genre! Ilya is a classic rake!), and I think that frustration with reactors for what's perceived as empathetic delay is liiiiiiiiittle bit overblown with this show. (And there's no doubt the same thing will happen next season with Shane, who'll be lucky if he has so many people in love with him by the end of that, as Ilya did this season. In Jacob we trust.)

They're actually not at the beach!! They're in a studio and I think they used a cloth with sand on top lol

Ladies, that was magnificent. You are the *only* people I've seen who cried even more than I did (not *much* more, admittedly, but still . . .). Your reaction is the highest compliment to Jacob Tierney and the actors I can imagine.
