Now that you are at this point, you’ve met Aeg’s brother Ammon the maester of The Nights Watch in GOT. Aeg is both Dany’s great-grandfather as well as Robert Barathon’s. Robert and Dany were 2nd cousins

"My father was Maekar, the First of his Name. My brother Aegon reigned after him, when I had refused the throne, and he was followed by his son Aerys, whom they called the Mad King“. The quote from Maestar Aemon in season 1.

I will only say we do meet one of Egg’s brothers in Game of Thrones (original series not HOTD). You all will probably piece things together over time. Great reaction as always! Edit: I see someone already said who. 😕

From what I gather, this story takes place about half way between the other two series. This story takes place after the first or second Blackfyre Rebellion (hence Egg's comments, "Die Blackfyre scum". All the Dragons are gone at this point. The reason Baelor is so perturbed when Aerion killed the horse, and gets booed....is that he is trying to keep the kingdoms united. They don't have the dragons to cower people anymore, so they are hearts and mind-ing the kingdom(s). Also, Baelor is just a good guy. Ang, i mean Egg only has one interest.... He idolizes the Knights. He wants to be one more then anything. He's also really smart, so he can see the hypocrisy in the feudal system. He just want's to be honorable...cause he's just a kid... He's also like 8th or 10th in line of succession... hence his title, "Aegon the Unlikely". or something like that...
