your local cryptid

yess I've been waiting for this one. episode 9 is one of my absolute favorites

PopeScooby

This just reminded me that a Last Starfighter reaction would be awesome.

Chemical Em

Remember the jeffrey campbell lita booties shoes? those were the shoes everyone was wearing clubbing!

Marcus Cato

Another great one next week. Looking forward to it. (If we all still exist).

Alexis

FIGMENTS! 🫴📃

Andrew

Have you guys watched Bojack Horseman? The gay guy in episode 10 is voicing Mr. Peanutbutter in that show.

PopeScooby

Two weeks away from Advanced D&D

stingo

this run of episodes from S2E5 thru S2E11 is absolutely peak comedy and this pair might be the highlight (other than next episode, which is like one of the best episodes of TV ever)

the opening happy birthday bit is referencing how up until about 10 years ago, the happy birthday song was owned by a company that would charge money to use it. They were very litigious and also sued anyone who used it or anything too close to it. So you very, very rarely saw it in TV or Movies. Usually they'd just use something they created that sounded similar or do what community did, where the song was only implied. In the 2010s the owners were taken to court and around 2016 the song was deemed to have been in the public domain so now anyone could use it. I think episode 9 is just a pastiche of conspiracy thrillers and stuff in general and not any one in particular.

Ep 9 has one of my favorite Britta moments in the show. When she is discovered in the super cool/surrealist section (aka the Turkish district) of the pillow/blanket fort - it kind of validates everything we have come to learn about Britta. - that she is awesome.

Rick Le Mon

I needed this today. My life has been suboptimal since the beginning of March and this is exactly the kind of happy distraction I need

Smapdi

I know it's probably never going to happen, but I am once again honor-bound to recommend the sci-fi muppet space opera Farscape. It's the best.

Owen

Holy shit lmao I forgot about arbor mist, I used to see commercials for it 😂

Owen

On my 21st I got drunk in the woods with my friends and then the next day was the breaking bad finale, then on Monday I drove back to college, fun times

Owen

Paul F Tompkins is a hero, he is an all-time great stand-up

Owen

Also wow I fucking love the conspiracy theory episode, Kevin Corrigan should be a household name. He's fucking hilarious.

PopeScooby

He played one of my favorite side characters in Fringe (another one that would make a good reaction).

Owen

I missed it when it came out and then passed on it until now, I tell you what, I'm gonna watch it. I love John Noble and I'll watch Kevin Corrigan in anything.

Guy Gordon

Episode 9 is my favorite of the series and one of my all-time favorite episodes of TV. I probably don't wanna know how many times I've watched it since first airing. From the insane script to the great guest performance by Kevin Corrigan to Ludwig Goransson's wonderful score, it's just perfect and has so much fun doubling down on its insanity over and over. "Fact: In 100% of all fake gun-related shootings, the victim is always the one with the fake gun."

god the conspiracy episode might be my favorite community episode of all time. it's so good. i consider it a halloween episode for some reason, it's great x files vibes hahaha. i think it's just homaging general conspiracy theory movies with a million plot twists in it hahaha.

rose

omg yesss i love his character in fringe. he's such a comforting character which is wild because he's not in very many episodes. i always hoped he'd come back in like season 4 or 5.

Ben

I love how emotional the end of 10 gets, anytime they break out that song used when Troy is comforting Annie you know it's a good moment. So excited for next week though

JB

Just talk to your father, Craig

What is this, a crossover suggestion?
