Haven’t watched the reaction yet but just wanted to clarify that the fire lord is around 45 years old not 130 😂

Fire Lord Ozai is Prince Zuko's father and he wants to pretty much do exactly what Fire Lord Sozan did. Fire Lord Sozan was the fire lord who reigned 100 years ago and he used the power of the comet to raise his power.

If you remember in episode 1 Uncle Iroh told Prince Zuko that "Your father, your grandfather and your great grandfather tried to catch the Avatar and failed". So you can guess which one started the war.

I just finished the reaction and they mentioned fire lord Sozin started the war. Hence the comets name “Sozin’s comet”

Something a lot of people miss is the exact length of the time limit that Aang is now under. The title of the episode is "Winter Solstice", and the winter solstice always happens about 3/4 of the way into the first month of winter. Roku said that Sozins Comet is going to come back at the end of the summer; meaning Aang has just over 8 months to not only learn, but master all 3 remaining elements.
