As far as i know a devil fruit connects with your soul. Therefore, u can only have the powers of 1 devil fruit. But there is a theory, that blackbeard has 3 souls. He got the strongest logia and the strongest paramecia, makes sense if he goes for the strongest zoan now. About the theory: Blackbeard got called "them" not "he" by zoro and luffy back when Teach was introduced before going to skypia. And his Jolly Roger (his Pirate Flag) has 3 Skulls on it. Its just a theory tho.

Yep. Blackbeard is very mysterious. We don't know how he does it or what's up with his body. However, a good theory is that the black cloth allowed him to be in complete darkness, therefore becoming a true darkness logia. So maybe the reason people can punch him even as a logia is because light is constantly hitting him, but he is darkness

I like him because he's a bitch. Not every character needs to be "cool strong guy", Blackbeard is actually unique. He is cowardly and takes opportunities, swoops in at the right moment to take everything for himself. I fucking love him for that. He's not just another calm and collected cool villain, otherwise he'd be too similar to some other characters I won't mention.

It's not just propaganda, but that is part of it. Those places have probably only had bad experiences with pirates, raids and things like that, and they see Whitebeard as a big pirate leader so he's likely to blame for a lot of the pirate activities in their minds (they've never experienced whitebeard helping them) Remember in drum island, how the immediate reaction to the strawhats was hostile because they had not long ago been attacked by pirates, even though the strawhats are good pirates.

To be fair, Blackbeard was in Whitebeard's crew for like 30 years, so he might know more or less how the fruit works without having ever used it. But yeah, having 2 devil fruits at once is impossible as far as we know, it's a mystery how Blackbeard did it.

YES exactly!!! His weird body, his connection to THAT person, him being able to damage Shanks who wasn't letting his guard down..and the fact that Shanks keeps tabs on BB and warns others tells me Blackbeard hides even greater power.
