Wrong sub, Big Mom name is Charlotte LinLin, such many wacky characters introduced in this episode. Btw, RIP Big mom original VA. Oda love to show random people in the background before they become relevant hundreds episodes later lol

Blue buddy

Big mom is might be my favorite of evil emperors of the sea mostly because I find her intriguingly insane Most people I know find her annoying and I understand why Thank u for the early uploads

Nicholas Kent

You just heard Charlotte Linlin aka Big Mom for the first time! :)

The name does actually scare people, it's just that Hordy's complete hatred for humans made him not care about that, he probably actually thought he was strong enough to beat her with the pills. But the normal pirate traffic would like just be sticking to tourism and passing into the new world in order to not risk pissing Big Mom off

Yes, what Big Mom shows us is a representation of how most pirates actually are in One Piece. We've been mostly exposed to Luffy, and recently pirates have been people like Ace, Whitebeard and his entire crew who all seem to be generally good people. But this is what I mean by what most people experience with pirates, evil scumbags that will take advantage and hold you hostage like Big Mam. This is why a lot of people actually prefer the navy and World Gorvernment, not only do they help them against pirates, but most people don't know about their illegal activities or see it up close, and those that do still view it as a less harmful evil than all the atrocities commited litreally all over the world by pirates every day. So it's actually really gray area in my opinion, I don't fault anyone who knowingly sides with the WG nor do I fault people who knowingly side with pirates in general.

Intelligent comment incoming: Did you know, that in Japan there’s a culture around green tea? So all green tea is from a single plant called Camellia Sinensis, and green tea is just unoxidized tea, they call it Sencha. Depending on the amount of shading they shade the tea bushes, you get Sencha, Kabusecha, and Gyokuro. Shading increases umami, decreases bitterness, and makes the tea leaves darker green because the plants produce more chlorophyll to compensate for the low amounts of sunlight. Gyokuro, Sencha which is shaded for the most amount of time, is reserved for the nobles and is the priciest. Shincha, is Sencha that is picked up in the spring and are the first fresh buds to grow after the winter, containing all the nutrients the plants absorbed during the winter and concentrating them in their first buds, they are typically picked during April/May. Normal Sencha comes after, and Bancha is the last leaves that grow in the year typically during late summer/autumn. They are least favored, low grade, cheap tea that Japanese farmers usually use as compost for their tea plants. However Bancha is also sold to companies that make tea bags, yes, tea bags that contain powdered tea in the supermarket is Bancha. After tea is picked it goes through a steaming process to lock in all the flavors and stop the leaves from oxidizing. Asamushi, Chumushi, and Fukamushi are steaming levels from least to most respectively. Fukamushi teas are usually sweet in taste and bold. There are many cultivars of Sencha, the most known for quality are Saemidori, Okumidori, Yabukita, Asahi,…etc, each has its own flavor profile. Usually, Japanese people prepare Sencha using a Kyusu tea pot, which is usually made with Tokoname clay which is crowned for its quality. Gyokuro is prepared with a Shiboridashi, something more luxurious. The cups they use are called Yunomi. There is more about Tea Ceremony and Matcha but this is a story for another day.
