Ragnar got a fitting end! As for the seer, I'm convinced he didn't see it. I told you the same thing about Athelstan and Floki's visions, or Aslaug witnessing Harbard's powers. They see what they want to see at a specific moment, and the showrunner presents things from the characters' perspectives for the immersive and mystical effect. The fact that Ragnar "talks with the seer" was a way of showing us that even though he's become an atheist, he still thinks about his original religions before dying. Even if it's to defy the gods. Between Christianity, Norse religion, and atheism, the series tries to show us the complexity of human beliefs. Whatever our beliefs, we all aspire to the same things: family, freedom, and inner peace. Okay, I'll be clear, this is my opinion. You have four seasons left, but the show is more or less over. Ivar has a few things to sort out, as you've understood, but for me, this is the only thing worth following up on.

Yea! Thats a fitting explanation, nontheless, fucking peak writting!

some more quality time with Ragnar and Ivar love that :) there we have it, Ivar the Boneless, a real Viking, lived in the 9th century, its not exactly known what was wrong with him, how he was crippled, some say he had weak bones, some suggest he might have had a skeletal condition like Osteogenesis imperfecta, while others believe the name was a metaphor for impotence or something else entirely, here they went with this interpretation :) that conversation between Ragnar and the Seer was great, its like listening to a pragmatic, realist person talk about religion :) I say that shit in Naruto too when people talk about the prophecy and what the Elder Toad Sage says, like he most of the time barely says anything, speaks in very broad terms, and influences things directly so that they happen, if it truly was set in stone that these things will happen why is there a need to tell them to the people, the old fool was just manipulating everybody :D it was nice to reminisce with Ragnar, seeing the journey again makes you feel this even more :) it looked like the snakes were mostly real in the pit, but the ones which they showed biting him seemed CGI :) Ragnar had a worthy death, kept showing his resolve, gave an epic speech, RIP to the legend!

Yeah ;) I felt for you. I could see you refused to believe Ragnar's imminent death xD I didn't believe it either back then. But the character really had nothing left to offer. After Athelstan's death, all that mattered to him was seeing his children all grown up and getting revenge on Ecbert. Besides, according to legend, Ragnar really was killed by King Aelle in a snake pit.

Yeah! It's crazy how imaginative people were back then

Hey, Lucky, maybe moders have already told you, but now it's the time (end of s4e15) when you definitely should watch the edit "Ragnar Lothbrok || The Choice" by Zurik 23M on YouTube, with Eng subs It gained 16m views You'll definitely love it! (btw lots of Vikings reactors do that after s4e15)
