2026-09-06 10:00 As a manga reader, I didn’t really like that episode because it moves too fast and isn’t very clear. However, the reason Maki got a power-up is that in the Jujutsu world, having a twin is basically like having a split soul, which means you’re never truly complete. As I understand it, Mai having cursed energy meant that Maki had very few, which prevented her from being like Toji, since Toji truly didn’t have a single drop of cursed energy. Mai’s death completed Maki’s restriction as she took all the cursed energy from them as she died, making her someone with absolutely no cursed energy, just like Toji.

The episode was super clear to me. The only problems that I had was that the adaptation of the Toji glaze panel could have been longer and the soundtrack when the grade 1 Zenin clan members arrived. Otherwise an excellent episode

The dad felt Toji in Maki and got reminded of his fear. Ironic tho that Maki like Toji was invisible and undetectable so why was he fearing Maki all of a sudden? Instinctual fear? Then them bozos should have bowed down to Toji in the first place if they had common sense. Their bad habit of judging a person with their cursed energy output and technique was a stubborn one.

Maki initially had so little Cursed energy that she couldn’t fight or even see curses, but she did have cursed energy. Now her remaining CE has been taken away thanks to Mai, she possess Zero cursed energy and a complete Heavenly Pact, similar to Toji.

Pell in Albasta arc was that experience for me. Author refused to kill even him! When he sacrificed and took the bomb away with him! Author wants OP to stay light hearted but also loves to create sob stories. When I had issues with this show, I used to call it "One Piss", or "Wano Piece of Shit" as in pronouncing one as Wano like Japanese do with many other words.

Naoya looked really fast in this episode I can’t believe he still wasn’t considered the fastest sorcerer, it was actually his father who’s second to Gojo (for some reason). So they’re both faster than Maki, damn!

I don’t think it’s that Toji had a bigger mind, it’s that he didn’t have a good reason to murder everyone, but Maki did because they are literally out to kill her.

Maki did the same thing, she left them and went to Jujutsu High, she hated them just like Toji did, of course Toji hated them more because he changed his last name to Fushiguro Toji instead of Zenin Toji, he was the strongest man alive, Gojo only became stronger when he killed him and unlocked everything; so Toji did hate them. But Maki was just like that, she only started murdering them when they killed her sister and the whole clan were out to kill her, if Toji had the same reasons he would’ve done the same but he had no good reason. So Maki did also have her emotions in check, she just did the right thing at the right time.

Mai was either there to collect some cursed tools (for Maki) or she was called there and deceived. It is not explained. Maki and Mai are inauspicious twins and daughters of elder son who could have been head of clan. They are too weak for their position. Failures. On top, they were women in Zenin Clan. Miserable treatment without respect in that clan.

What did it look like? :o They berated her probably for giving birth to "useless kids" and she got conditioned to obey men of the family, taking their shit. "Know your place, woman" type of environment. She ended up resenting her daughters. Hated the toxic family and was glad Maki ended them. She even stabbed Naoya herself.

Then I don’t fully understand their hate towards Maki and Mai, why didn’t they treat them like any normal woman of a clan, because Ogi was denied clan head because they were weak women? Well he better blame his sperm. It’s literally all on him lol. He’s the one in charge of sex when it comes to creating people. He can try for a boy but he just didn’t want and started venting it on them even though it’s his fault lol. It was Ogi's fault! His sperm, his weakness to Projection Sorcery. Naoya and Naobito could easily dodge any of his move. The dude got speedblitz by Maki who is tad slower than Naoya in movement speed. Ogi claimed he didn't have flaws and was equal to Naobito? BS Zenin clan is a toxic group of people. Gojo knew and warned Megumi. These Zenin guys despised weakness in the clan. A Zenin head's daughter that can't see curses? Shameful. Not a random low level Hei unit guy. You can't get it nor can't anyone. Those Zenin people were illogical with their hate. They can't respect a chad like Toji cuz he don't have curse energy? Stupidity. Same with Maki having too little cursed energy that she can't see curses. No respect.

Maki was stubborn too, rightfully. She kept trying to improve and that pissed Zenins. They could have mocked her repeatedly for her weaknesses. She left the clan. Mai was punished for it, unfairly. They forced jujutsu training on her more aggressively. She wanted to be a housewife like her mother. Weird but yeah. She thought there was no respect to be gained either way.
