Law initially asked Caesar to let him stay on the island and not tell Joker. He even traded his heart to win over Caesar’s trust to avoid Joker’s eyes. Despite being much weaker, Caesar Clown has the ‘Joker’.

3:30 Bruh isn’t in Dragon ball, you die, you can come back to life?

AccordingToLucky

Nope, there is a logical story behind it. Not like OP where a character just survives somehow lol

g27

There are no stakes in Dragon Ball right?

AccordingToLucky

There are, u can only revive someone once. It depends on the strenght of the Dragon. Some other stuff too

Yeah, that is a legitimate critisism of One Piece, Oda really struggles to kill off characters in the main story, he doesn't mind doing it a lot in flashbacks, lots of characters die there, but in present time he really struggles to kill characters. And it's not the same a dragonball, as you say, there's still a method that has to be taken to bring characters back in DB at least. It's something that for the most part has to be accepted, but every now and then there is a death here or there but it's very rare so you only really have Ace and Whitebeard as deaths in the present story that had any impact for you.

He's stronger that Caesar but when you're made of gas it might really hard to stop him from running away, and part of what Law wanted was for Caesar to not tell Doflamingo (Joker) that Law was here. So if he just faught him he might have not been able to stop him from telling Doflamingo, but he decided to play along in order to do what he needed to without Doflamingo finding out what he was doing.

Oda’s falling short with his story, what is it about One Piece that makes it the most popular manga?

Krowft

Because he isn't falling short, it might not be your taste but Oda's storytelling and world building is considered first class by most that watch/read it. There is no story with literally zero faults, so pointing out a legitimate critisism is not proof that it is 'falling short', short of what? perfection? The anime has known pasing issues due to constantly nearly catching up with the manga which is why they finally went seasonal this year, and the manga has nobody-dies critisisms that affects some readers more than others. Other people also tend to critisize the humour because they believe the show should be more serious but it has always been a comedy since day one and always will be, so that's not gonna change and it's up to readers to decide whether they like the comedy genre or not. But the manga is most definitely not 'falling short' considering that it still tops the charts after close to 30 years, and chapters in the 1000+ are still full of captivating twists and turns, interesting characters and storylines that hook readers even after many years of running. Most stories are literally incapable of maintaining readers captivated after a couple of seasons and more often than not the first films/seasons are often seen as better as the prequels. Considering One Piece spans 30 years and 1100+ episodes, you could reasonably compare an arc to a movie or season in another show, and to this day there are plenty of people that will still choose the most recent arcs as their most favourites even when they also enjoyed the older ones, that is not an easy thing for a writer to pull off.
