Blue buddy

Nami heat wand worked like how water luffy was able to touch crocodile with water it’s a natural counter. Thank u for the uploads I’m glad you got a new chair

Martin Sung

mistake in your title. this is episode 612. Also Zoro's childhood friend is called Kuina

Nicholas Kent

Momonosuke transformed into an Eastern Dragon. This type of dragon also inspired Toriyama's design for Shenron, yes ;) Tashigi resembles Kuina, Zoro's childhood friend. Kaya is Usopp's wealthy "girlfriend."

Now that you’ve completed FMAB, remember the war in the poll for ATLA vs FMAB, the biggest tie we’ve seen here? What’re your thoughts on who’s better between the two?

g27

Bruh can’t law just remove the bird parts that he gave her so she’s just a torso? Lol

What I hate most about Zoro is that he’s always oblivious and just lets things happen. He could’ve intervened a million times in just this one episode but he’s just watching. He could’ve killed her a million times but he’s just calling her a bitch. He can do so much but he’s just letting shit happen, people get badly injured and killed, then he calls out Luffy for losing. Like bro, how about you do something? Imagine being OP but the most useless person in the room.

Logia are not impervious to damage, they can simply become intangible with their element making them highly resistant to damage and very hard to even hit. Haki allows you to hit their "true body", but if you have another way to hit them through their intagibility then that would also work. Similar to how water/blood hardens sand and therefore allowed Luffy to hit Crocodile (as hardened sand is not intangible), the heat affected the snow body even though it's intagible. But in this case it's simply a matter of how intense the heat vs the cold is, one may overpower the other. The same is true with Luffy and Enel, rubber being an insulator allows Luffy to make full contact with Enel unless Enel willingly disintigrates his own body apart to dodge the attack. But, for example, just to hypthesize, smoke particles are actually fairly large, so if you were able to get a very fine net, you might be able to trap someone like Smoker, and if you squish him into a ball tight enough smoke can actually be condensed into a solid, this would mean he's no longer intangible and would probably be far less resistant to damage. The above is just an example I made up but logia can be damaged without haki with an appropriate strategy.

It's been said that Kuina in Zoro's childhood, died from "falling down stairs." What's interesting is that "falling down stairs" is a euphemism in Japan that refers to suicide. So it's been a theory forever that Kuina killed herself after her duel with Zoro

Philip

It is a popular theory but I don't believe this is an actual Japanese euphemism. There is other vague language around death in Japanese, but this is not really normal usage. It would also be bad writing that she killed herself because her character was about life being unfair but not about life being pointless. It would also ruin the theme of inherited will for Zoro because if she killed herself he would be motivated by guilt rather than aspiration. Her dying in an accident was supposed to be tragic and motivating. Yeah she died in a mundane way, but that's kind of the point she died in a sudden stupid way. It taught Zoro the future is not promised and the world is unfair which is why his character is always so stoic

Liberationpocket

It really did change him. Zoro had a child-like innocence when he first arrived at that dojo. After her death and his loss against Mihawk, Zoro sort of matured and realized that he cannot stop training because there may be someone who could be better than him. His character is interestingly complex because you never actually know what he's thinking because of his stoicism. All you see is straight loyalty, which he didn't have before meeting Luffy

Nicholas Kent

Nothing to add! I regularly read your comments and they are always excellent :)

AccordingToLucky

I legit sometimes confuse you guys, cuz u think the same lol

Krowft

Hehe I appreciate the comment, Kent; I'm not an encyclopedia like Tekking but I do like the details and I've probably watched one piece 8 times from start to finish by now if I count the reaction channels like Lucky :)
