Its not that hard to compare actually. DS had better animation, better story, better backstory ( Akaza ), better emotion. It was better overall. But CSM movie wasn't as bad as i thought! I liked Reze's character and ending

I think it's just not your type of anime lol both are equally good to me for different reasons. I can't compare them because they're different genres of storytelling. I didn't like chainsawman at first cuz the animation was weird in the first season and the plot felt random. But then i read some of the manga and changed my mind. I hope they change animation to be more like the movie next season.

Nah i just was confused about the storytelling because there was only 1 season 😆 i hated attack on titan season 1 for the same reason. Didn't understand where the plot was going until season 2 and 3 came out years later and then i loved it. And yea the animation was weird but the story is good. It's building up to something good

Mid backstory honestly, plus there were 27 hundred things that logically didn’t make sense but I didn’t want to make a comment pointing them out, felt unnecessary. But the animation was definitely PEAK, as in literal terms haha, “peak” meaning you can only go down from that, “peak” as in the tip of a mountain, you can’t go climb more 🏔️ . Ufotable does a better job than the author. Demon Slayer is not dogshit, it definitely is better than Chainsaw man that’s too unnecessarily inappropriate without having anything else to give that out weighs. I’m only judging based on the first season though, it was too difficult for me to watch the dub lol. Some dubs are good, but this didn’t feel like it lol.

In my opinion, I think Chainsawman worked better as a movie. I see why Lucky liked the Demon Slayer movie better. DS movie is a visual spectacle of the series final battle. CSM movie is a deep story showing the connection between Denji and Reze. DS movie is a lot more simpler which isn’t a bad thing because it’s all fights which someone like Lucky would prefer. While CSM is more symbolic and complex, it lets you think and chew about things. DS had chaotic pacing, jumping from one character fight to another and then ending with a super long backstory. CSM is more linear and builds the relationship between Denji and Reze. The direction and cinematography is far more creative and unique, you can have different interpretations of the symbolism and connect with the character’s conflicts. Most people think it’s about Denji falling for an assassin when really it’s about an assassin falling in love with Denji (Reze could be the butterfly caught in Denji’s web). CSM is more deep and artistic while DS is more action and hype.

U said everything well, but u r giving too much credit to CSM. Even tho i enjoyed the movie, it was good. The connection between Reze and Deji was beautiful, but it was short and something did seem of right away. Cuz nobody falls that easily. Aside from Denji who just drools after anyone who looks at him xD So yea, they connection was cute and the way the wrote it was dope, but its not like y need to be smart af to figure anything out. I'd argue Akaza's backstory was deeper and more emotional, and the connected he built with his girl was stronger. So u cant say DS was just about cool fighting lol Cuz that isnt the only thing i prefer. Just so happens that DS literally had everything, while CSM had most but on a much smaller scale. Still good, but DS was better 🫶🏼 To me at least.

That's fair. Although I love Akaza's backstory, I think it is a bit overrated from fans. It's far more tragic and sad compared to Reze ofc but its not that crazy compared to other backstories in Demon Slayer. Its just my personal opinion, Akaza's backstory was deeper and more emotional, but I like the way they directed Reze's story more.

I agree that the main character doesn't have that much depth or development; the most interesting thing is the world and the other characters lol and I religiously read the manga every single time btw. It's definitely dropped in my list of favorites, but I still like it.

Even if they’re portraying a certain demographic of people that exist in real life, what good does this make to a bad story? Is just relating a certain thing to real life make a story suddenly good? People in anime also get hungry and thirsty, that doesn’t make up a good story you get at what I’m trying to say? Using “But these people really do exist! They really do!” LOL It doesn’t make CSM’s story anything great. And using that specific aspect doesn’t add anything to the current story to make it great. It just added something to the story that made it worse.
