Don’t worry Lucky; i think even people that aren’t 600 episodes in to One Piece consider the dub disappointing. Theres a few highlights here and there, (usually Robin and Usopp related funny enough) but the general consensus is that One Pieces dub is one of the… “worst” isn’t accurate but certainly least inspired of the big three shonen. Chopper praising Caesar comes from him being a doctor. The idea of making a artificial devil fruit is a medical mystery, so of course he’d be interested. (It’d be like if a Nazi doctor at Auschwitz discovered the cure for cancer. It is possible to simultaneously loathe them for their actions while looking at their work and saying “this is amazing”)
