Blue buddy

This is my new favorite episode of series just Peak !!! It’s also gave me my favorite domain expansion I love this episode the ending almost made cry.

AccordingToLucky

Same here! I love the concept! He went back to the basics! Not complicated but very effective! The explanation was Peak, the power as well! LOVED THE CHARACTER!

Ashish Kumar

Is this first named lawyer char in all the anime Lucky has watched? W char. Lucky you have some high inspiration to follow with this. A lawyer that will also throw hands for his innocent clients if he has to. 🤣

Ashish Kumar

Each person's kogane is slightly different, some people noted. Higuruma's had a moustache. Higuruma changed his mind from "feels good to kill" to "feels horrible". That ofc happened with his change in viewpoint. He felt his clients were weak and ugly for always giving him that look after losing the trial. Now he again sees them as just weak worth helping.

g27

So his domain came with the technique, as in the technique is the domain itself? That’s an issue for him cause domain expansions drain someone heavily he can’t keep using a domain expansion so much. Plus it manifested slower than everyone else’s. If it were someone else who’s fast, he could’ve escaped before the domain fully enclosed. For example, we saw in Shibuya that Gojo’s domain covered the whole area in 2 tenths of a second, in a fraction of a second! And its effects also applied. But Higuruma’s domain tried to first encapsulate which took time, then it stopped Itadori from punching. Judgeman might be OP because there would be no need for interrogations if he knows the truth about everyone. This would make Higuruma the best lawyer in the world. Better at investigating than L lol. I think that Higuruma’s “curse” was that he lost the plot on why he became a defense lawyer in the first place and said screw it everyone’s disgusting and wicked, but he now realized it wasn’t to punish criminals, but to empathize to find redemption in them. That’s why he said, “I returned to my roots”. It reminded me of that scene when his defendant looked at him before being taken by the police and Higuruma said “Why are you looking at me with that face?” Like he was disgusted. I think it was at this moment that he lost his roots and started calling them ugly. We saw how he lost it and was bashing his gavel in front of everyone. Higuruma reminds me of Geto except Geto never returned to his roots. Also, if the original domain expansions were something that were commonly used by sorcerers, imagine if Itadori does that type of domain expansion where they play by his rules. He spawns a boxing ring, no cursed energy allowed, and both go on a boxing match, who’s winning? LoL maybe for the sole exception of Gojo of course. These types of domain expansions are supposed to be easy to learn, Itadori can learn it! I also really appreciate how much they experiment with animation. It makes me care less about its perfection. This is so interesting how we’re seeing multiple different animation styles in this series that are all good. It’s like Mappa’s little project that they’re having fun with. Really Cool! I suppose judging by how Tengen calls Higuruma a genius, I’m sure he can learn really advanced jujutsu. Like Domain Expansions with Sure-Hit effects, or Supreme Art, or reversed curse energy, etc. He said he’ll turn himself in or go back to his usual work but Tengen said his talent shines through sorcery more than being a lawyer. I wanted him to be a main character like Megumi and the gang instead of being a 2 episode side character and dip. One last thing, the Executioner’s Sword is the most OP weapon in the verse, imagine he gave that to someone like Toji to use! Itadori was a dead man if it wasn’t for Higuruma deciding not to kill him.

g27

I want to point out that I know everyone says that Itadori is innocent because Sukuna did all the killings. But if it were to come to deciding to kill Itadori because what Sukuna does, like what the higher ups are asking, then they have one point they hold against Itadori. No one shoved Sukuna’s finger in Itadori’s throat, Megumi told Itadori everything he needed to know about the finger beforehand, Itadori knew everything before eating the finger, yet he ate it anyways. This is a consequence of his OWN actions.

g27

I also want to say that Higuruma is lucky he didn’t find Megumi cuz he would not hesitate to pull out Mahoraga lol.

Ashish Kumar

I am sure you know Yuji understands Sukuna is his responsibility. You just put him on the dock to agree with him. That he is right to feel responsible. Also, Yuji only ate 1 finger. Gojo arranged for his death sentence suspension so that Yuji can eat more Sukuna fingers. At that point it is half Gojo's fault. Yuji agreed to keep living to consume more fingers too so like your point says, he is at fault too. But those that fed him 10 consecutive fingers were at majority of fault for that incident. They knew what they were doing. Either way, all that... but you are right to put him on the dock. He had part of the fault. I wanted to correct something I once told you. I said Sukuna was probably cornered and had to turn into curse object to survive. No, I misremembered. In earlier eps it's said he was undefeated even when strongest sorcerers ganged up on him. Why he chose to turn into a curse object? To be immortal?

Ashish Kumar

He def would. 😂 But... CT confiscation. Can't summon maho.

AccordingToLucky

Was about to say this, Higuruma had that covered lol Megumi would be a regular human in front of his death sentence lol

Ashish Kumar

Oh he could challenge Deadly Sentencing domain with his own incomplete one. He may have options. Not sure.

Ashish Kumar

You saw Yuji's punch stop super late and thought that's the domain's weakness, it's slow. I thought... Domain won't stop yuji's punch until the right moment of contract. Like it looked slow cuz the domain only prevents violence at last second. I run at you with anger, I am not stopped yet cuz I haven't done the violence yet. If I almost make fist contact with your cheek, it stops me at last sec.

g27

“Gojo arranged for his death sentence suspension so that Yuji can eat more Sukuna fingers. At that point it is half Gojo’s fault.” I disagree, because Yuji agreed to that. Gojo gave him a choice and Yuji decided on that. At the same time, Gojo knew he can handle Sukuna. Yuji knew he couldn’t. Those who fed him 10 fingers were the villains, they were what the higher ups were afraid of Yuji being left alive, that something like this can happen, and it did. It is the curse’s faults yes, but all Yuji’s own decisions on that made it possible for that to happen, which is what the higher ups were wary of. And that ain’t no incident, that was a massacre, a tragedy😂😂 So the Hein era sorcerers aren’t as legendary as I thought they’d be. So that explains why the Top Two in the Culling Games are one from the Edo era, and one from the Modern era. And I was like how is it not anyone from the Hein era!? LOL. Kenjaku definitely convinces the sorcerers before turning them into cursed objects. I would say he might’ve told Sukuna about his future plan of a new kind of anarchy world after he successfully assimilates curse/human Tengen to everyone, and that Sukuna might be interested in that for some reason. But we already know that that isn’t really his goal, it’s just a plan within a larger goal of his. Tengen said we don’t know Kenjaku’s true goals. And Reggie said that just falls in between Plans A, B, and C, and that he wants to push modern sorcerers to an early “second” awakening. First awakening is getting their techniques by idle transfiguration, maybe second awakening means like how Mahito, Tengen, and Sukuna evolved. I noted you used the term “Mahito’s awakening thing” back in season 2. Your question why would Sukuna be interested in this? The issue here is that we don’t even know Sukuna’s goals. Yeah we saw him in Episode 1 just wanting to kill women and children, but someone as smart as him can’t have a lowly goal like that, we remember in season 2 Sukuna said “I have my own plans”, and we got no new information on that. So there might be nothing for me to work with considering we don’t know both Sukuna and Kenjaku’s true goals LOL.

g27

Nah he doesn’t even need to win a tug of war using his domain expansion, he can just use simple domain like what Mechamaru did to Mahito and summon Mahoraga. And then Mahoraga would adapt to be the best defense lawyer for Megumi such that it’s impossible to lose LMAO.

g27

Oh that makes sense, my bad.

Ashish Kumar

How do you know about simple domain? You dived into spoilers too? Cuz so far no one used simple domain against a full domain or talked about it.

g27

Season 2 Episode 7, Mechamaru was inside Mahito’s full Domain Expansion. Kenjaku said that Domains neutralize all techniques, even Gojo’s and so it’ll hit him. Mechamaru activated simple domain and used his technique (controlling his robots) and stabbed Mahito and destroyed his domain expansion, Kenjaku was impressed. They called it domain for the weak maybe because it doesn’t overpower the domain expansion, it just stops the neutralization of the target’s technique, and might also stop the sure-hit effect like what Megumi did to Dagon, but idk about that because he was actually trying to use a full domain in a tug of war. But yeah simple domain would remove the neutralization of the target person’s technique, they explained that.

Ashish Kumar

Yeah, I forgot! Mechamaru did use that with the nails.

g27

What nails? Yeah so while Higuruma is speaking with Megumi on his trial, Megumi can use a simple domain, a giant weakness isn’t it? Unless Higuruma can confiscate Megumi’s techniques at the beginning, but the anime showed that he can’t confiscate anyone whenever he wants, he needs to wait for Judgeman to decide that after the trial. Higuruma better adapt a new technique now. Confiscate someone’s techniques at the beginning so they can’t counter his domain at all, and use the executioner’s sword as a sure-hit domain expansion, he’s talented enough to make that work. Also, I just revisited that episode again, Mechamaru said that the Hein era was the era where curses and sorcerers were fierce and jujutsu was at its hight, so this doesn’t add up with what’s happening in the culling game.

Ashish Kumar

I mean... Sorcerers were more hot blooded and eager to die in battle back in past, as Megumi mentioned it to Yuji before entering the game. That would be the case for Heian Era too. And I will assume most of the strongest ones died fighting Sukuna cuz he did get ganged up according to Gojo. Sukuna is basically the top sorcerer of the Heian era we see today as representative. Although you are right. Others could have gotten reincarnated but Kenjaku didn't. Kenjaku who was born in Heian era didn't have plans or means back then to do what he is doing today. His planning started after Heian era I will assume. And he remembers fondly of his Heian era for how superior sorcerers were back then compared to later gens. Simple domain can protect from sure hits effects. Higuruma's domain imposes "rules" instead of a guaranteed hit. Will simple domain help? If it does that's a good option. Although, Kusakabe and Miwa used simple domain freely and Mechamaru did use nails to create that same effect. You don't remember the nails? I actually watched the mechamaru fight to reply you before and saw he had 2 nails to use his simple domain. DE vs DE is best solution ofc against Deadly Sentencing.

g27

Oh so those nails had simple domain infused in them. I thought he activated it like Miwa. That explains how that drill explosive managed to damage Mahito’s soul and blow up his arm. So the legendary ones died and the ones in the culling games are no named bottom of the barrel😂, no wonder they probably weren’t with the crew that jumped Sukuna. At least that explains why the top two in the culling games aren’t from the Heian era. So Kashimo and Higuruma are stronger than these Heian era reincarnates. I guess the only legendary Heian era sorcerer here is Kenjaku, seems pretty strong especially with Geto’s body, but he isn’t playing so we don’t need to be worried about him. And if his planning started after the Heian era, then why did he form pacts with sorcerers and curses (well he said he formed pacts with more than just sorcerers) to turn them into cursed objects at that time? Lol

Ashish Kumar

Damn I slipped and blurted out spoilerish details. I have given you clue that non of the reincarnations we saw so far are Heian era. Which is not supposed to be known. I will stop here. 😅 About Kenjaku, I only remember him mentioning making pacts with past sorcerers and creating new ones by marking them and using Mahito's technique.

g27

In Lucky’s Patreon at S3 E7 at 8:10 Kenjaku stated he formed pacts with more than just sorcerers. So probably with curses or maybe more. He reminds me of Vandal Savage lol

Ashish Kumar

Interestingly, yep Kenjaku said that huh. Just checked.

g27

Judging by you forgetting that, I can assume they NEVER built up on that in the manga for jjk LOL, a bit upsetting but not a big deal lol. Actually reminded me of Vandal Savage making deals and pacts with everyone in the universe and living for thousands of years and using social darwinistic methods to create conflicts like how Kenjaku is doing with the Culling Game haha.

Ashish Kumar

I don't remember Vandal Savage too haha. I only saw CW shows of Arrow and long ago. And some Legends of Tomorrow. I also don't know everything that happens in JJK manga ahead. My future knowledge is a mixed bag of bits and pieces.

g27

I haven’t watched the DC live action series. To put it basic, Marvel is good in live action and bad in cartoons, DC is good in cartoons and bad in live action. They’re lucky they don’t compete for the same market lol.
