Btw, perhaps this is old news to you and I'm embarassing myself by only realizing it recently, but all admiral codenames are referencing the eastern zodiac: Akainu's codename references the dog sign, Aokiji's references the bird/rooster sign (his codename means "blue pheasant", but still, pheasants are birds), Kizaru's references the monkey sign, and now Fujitora's references the tiger sign (Fujitora means "wisteria tiger").

To be fair, Oda did once comment that if he depicted the clothes realistically then sommeone like Ace would just be fighting naked all the time, so he takes more liberties with people's costumes and clothes and their powers, however, it would be an interesting notion if someone like Luffy with his powers could literally affect his own clothes lol
