Yep: introducing the Jacket-Jacket Fruit. Unanimously considered the weirdest and weakest Devil Fruit Oda has ever envisioned, to the point where theres nothing to ask but… “why” (A question even more pertinent on account of things we learn about Devil Fruits later on lol) Oh, and Momonosuke is supposed to be a peach. The joke Oda is making is that he’s named after Momotaro, the main character from a very famous Japanese fairy-tale called “The Peach Boy” (Funny enough, Momoshiki from Boruto is named after the exact same character 😂)

Specifically, "momo" in japanese means peach. It's a little known fact, because rarely pay attention to last names in anime, unless they're clan/family names, but Zabuza's last name, Momochi, means "peach soil" or "peach land".

Also, are you sure Jacket-Jacket fruit is the weakest, when fruits like the Slip-Slip Fruit and Bubble-Bubble Fruit exist? I'm not saying it's particularly OP, but it can be relatively strong depending on who the user's partner is.
