What you have to realize, however, is Rebecca does not even remember that she ever had a dad, and we never saw that they ever caught her until later, so whatever they did makes everyone forget you completely. Imagine being an only child for your whole life then having some random person try to convince you that's he's your brother who not even your parents can remember having. Imagine having a child, and not being able to remember how you even got pregnant in the first place because you have no recollection of you're only partner at the time. So, Rebecca's dad could even potentially be the most loyal and influencial person in Riku's entire army, and not even RIKU HIMSELF would remember a person fitting that description ever even existed. That's probably why they don't really tell them anything, because, it would be incredibly hard to make anyone 100% believe you when they don't even recall anything you ever did. Different analogy, imagine running a football team, but you've never been able to have a fixed goalkeeper in your team, you've never been able to find someone interested in that position, so you always make do with a temporary goalkeeper. Then some random says "I've been in your team for 10 years, I was the best goalkeeper you've ever had, remember that time I defended 5 penalties in a row and we went on to win?" And you're like "Who is this weirdo, I've never met him, we've never had a goalkeeper, and that event never happened like that, I'm pretty sure we just had some subsitiute goalkeepers who got a bit lucky and the other team just missed or something" What could you possibly say to be convinced? Your best case scenario is to just remake a relationship from the start, maybe King Riku can be like "I have no idea who this toy is but he's trying to be useful so I'll let him help out"
